Scammed by paypalwiz

Today I bought a rare runescape name with two letters\number. I handed over $25 and he gave me the account name and password. When I went on the username was something completely different to what he said it was and not at all rare. He then said on Skype note the name currently on the account as the display name is ******. the account still has **locked to it until you change the name again. He never said ths before trade and the accounts name is not changeable for a while. I class this as scam because the accounts value is alot less knowing then name is not visible on the account. Note that we're I say resent is because I first send money not as a gift, then resent as a gift as he funded asking for it sent as gift in PayPal.

He told you the name would be ready for transfer in 5 days/Sept 12th.

That means on that day, you guys will do a transfer either together or by yourself where you transfer the name (via the RS homepage) to your own account.

I toled him I was going to keep on the account and did not plan in transfer he did not tell me till after I couldn't see the name. He knew I would not buy if I knew that's why he toled me straight after I paid....

Check out the last post, it includes that the name is RFT in 5 days. And it was posted almost 5 hours before this report.

You clearly ask for the name and even before talking about payment and whether or not he accepts paypal, he says the name is RFT on the 12th.

Pre-edit, the thread didn't include the date, but it does slyly say that the name was RFT.

Also, in the chat, he does fairly warn you that it's not ready to transfer until the 12th. Also, with name snipes and such, I also wouldn't actively go around telling people what date my names would be ready to transfer, especially not on a public thread.

Is there a specific reason as to why it makes a huge difference? I'm fairly certain PPW will give you the name/help you transfer it on that day. If not, he'll be banned for scamming. The trade seems pretty straightforward to me.

Gah has been refunded.

Next time Gah, you will not be refunded and you'll stick with the trade, plain and simple. He clearly gave you enough warning that the name would have to be transferred and when it would need to be done. If you wanted to ask for help transferring the name, all you had to do was ask.
