Taking bets on PayPal Illegal?

Tbh guys... I don't think its worth you taking bets on PayPal, easily to chargeback also its illegal. You would need an online gambling licence, and you'd have to report all your transaction, plus the end-user would have to provide full identification and be directly/indirectly informed of the risks of gambling (http://www.gambleaware.co.uk/).

This I am pretty sure... thoughts?

 

Pretty sure no one cares. I can see this being an issue for people betting hundreds of dollars but these small petty bets that go on here are not hurting anyone so why bother worrying about such things?

 

It is in most countries. Not a big deal unless you're a company doe.

If I bet a friend $20 about who will win a football game, it's totally legal. Because this is a debt owed as Bik Rich mentioned, it's also legal to make the transfer through PayPal. Same idea with dicing, as Sythe's system has no built-in wagering and is nothing more than private betting with a "friend."

 

Never thought of "private wagers" before, thanks I have a better understanding now.

I'd say it's not breaking any terms with paypal as stated above, so you can make some small bets here on sythe with minimal issues.

The issues start with chargebacks. Don't trade with someone with a brand new join date. Don't trade with someone who has little to no vouches. Don't trade with someone if they can't type for shit or sound like a complete dumbass. Follow that and you should come out alright.

We don't "gamble", it is stated in the Dicing Rules thread. This is a "private club" with "private wagers"

 

Underage gambling should be addressed as allot of people are under the age of 18 and gambling with PayPal, currently discussing this with Rich now.

Ahh look I think those who are complaining against it like myself are just annoyed at the scams and have had some bad experiences with gambling, just want to put my 2 cents in guiding some of the kids but hey everyone can do what they like at the end of the day, including voice there concerns

 

Who honestly cares, are who's going to do something about it and if something is done then its done, I think you should worry about your self mr gamble host.

You guys are funny. So many "Illegal" things and ToS' violated on this forum and you act like this is something major? What about the people who aren't filing taxes on this site when they clearly exceed the quota, do you care about that?

In other words, keep gambling guys. As Sythe said above, you are allowed to have a personal owed debt to someone and who the hell is going to question you?
