OSRS- Godwars dungeon?

With the up and coming 'predicted' realise of God wars dungeon do you think the price of gold will increase or crash?

My predictions:
> few weeks before the release gold will rise, due to people wanting the best gear and stats.
> after the hype, gold will crash. Why? Because gold will be easier to obtain.

What do you think?

 

I agree with your prediction and what you mentioned, but the gold will definitely crash rapidly because if they obtain items/drops from the GWD Bosses they will be sold for maybe 30m+ depending on what item they get & the amount they sell it for.

 

Well GWD won't actually be putting money into the game, but I suppose making it possible for people to get the items, and then sell, but not money is actually put in.

 

Gold won't be easier to obtain, I would see it go from 2.2 to 2.6 when it comes out

 

Hopefully they don't put in a coinshare option. That would legitimately destroy the economy. I think the GWD release itself will be a decent pick-me-up for the game. Hopefully PvP worlds and such are released and the game slowly makes it's move towards 2011 which (for myself) was an all-time-high.

 

Gold is almost definitely going to rise quickly, simply because it will be in higher demand. Everyone's going to want a godsword or the means to get one (brews, restores, Barrows sets, etc). I can't really speak for the price after a few weeks or so, though..

Can't do coinshare without a ge So I doubt it.

 

I'm quite sure they could find a simple fix for that, or an alternative
Nevertheless, I don't think they will, they'll just probably drop the items.
And on topic: it'll rise for a bit and then drop, just as the OP said.

 

Lootshare will be available, but coinshare won't. It'll make gold rise in the short term, maybe for 2-4 months while people are wanting to buy the GWD items and gear so they can obtain more, but then after that amount of time there will be a lot in circulation, the pricing will drop and gold prices will follow.
