    Addiction?

    Anyone currently suffer from addiction?

I'm far from addicted, as my personality isn't of such.

But i have recently started indulging in alot of drugs, which I have indulged in the past.

More opiates now than a long time, synth heroin, heroin, codeine, pain relievers, etc.

Discuss your vices, this isn't a discussion thread. I'm just being open about mine, and am wondering who else finds tranquility in the use of "drugs".

My ideals are not that of a normal person for those who know me.

    Addiction?

Not really on the topic of drugs but if anyone is curious on how addiction or "habits" occur I recommend you check out the book The Power of Habit - Charles Duhigg. This book explains the formation of habits and goes down to the root on how to break habits.

    Addiction?

On a serious not I believe im addicted to sex the only bad part is im married. So the things that I do to try to alter my addiction is going out with the wife, taking vacations away from girls what I affiliate myself with aka sex buddies but I mean I have never used drugs I smoked weed a bit but never became addicted to it.

    Addiction?

You should go to rehab and stop taking so much drugs. You're just damaging your body and judging by your picture you're a good looking guy, you shouldn't be lowering yourself down to the slums of a drug addict even if it's just once an a while.

My addition would be gambling, ever since I turned 18 I pushed myself not to step foot in a casino and I haven't because I know if I did I wouldn't know when to stop and I'd just keep playing. I use to gamble all the time online especially on games like habbo. I've probably lost 2 thousand dollars because I just can't stop and when I lose I'd just pull out the credit card and do it all over again. I haven't gambled in a very long time though but it's hard the urge to do it is a daily occurrence.

    Addiction?

I suppose I have a gambling addiction. I just don't know when to quit, for instance I was up $300+ dollars on Frenzy, I decided to continue dicing her. Now I lost pretty much all of it. Also, staking in runescape, dicing have all contributed to this..

The problem with your view is that you see "slummy drug addicts" as below you. What makes they less superior? Because they do illegal drugs? Because they don't have jobs? Or they are homeless? I don't bring myself to the level of anyone, because i'm my own person. I have a very succesful business, my own house, 2 dogs, a healthy relationship, a car, and i also like to do drugs.

Not for one second have i let them become an issue, as for damaging my body, most drugs really aren't all that bad in moderation, which is how i do them.

I go to the gym 4 times a week, eat well, so what is the issue.

It would seem you have a false superiority complex over what you would call low life crackheads. No one is better than anyone else.

    Addiction?

No one is better than anyone else but drugs and alcohol have a server negative effect on people and that's the part I don't like. Growing up with an alcoholic father and seeing how he behaved when he was drunk made me wish to see how it would have been to growing up if he were sober. I don't hate people for failing to see the bright side of things and focus on the negative, that's their life to damage not mine I just hate their actions and crimes they commit while under the influence. Go ahead and do all the drugs you want just don't strip down naked and eat someones face.

I don't feel like I'm above anyone else, but I do feel like doing drugs or alcohol is a negative way to live life but that's my motto, but that doesn't have to be yours but like I said we live our lives they way we see fit because that's our decision to make. I choose to believe what I believe and you can go ahead to believe what ever makes you tick.

    Addiction?

So? I know you own a business and all that and from when I've talked to you, you're obviously intelligent. But I know plenty of people that were in exact, and better, positions as you and ended up with nothing because of their long term addictions. Business went down, and everything else crumbled thereafter.

"What makes they less superior? Because they do illegal drugs? Because they don't have jobs? Or they are homeless?" The latter two would make someone less superior in the sense of their contributions to society. Homeless people are homeless for a reason that they usually put themselves in. Lots of people neglect finding jobs, so yes I feel more superior to them. As far as drug users? Maybe not all (You, right now, are an exception) but you're not among the majority of drug users, who are usually strung out, lazy, and very sickly. I feel more superior to them.

I don't know what your moderation (I guess honestly, I'd like to hear if you want to share), but I can tell you that denying the long term affects that are blatantly bound to happen is pretty silly. You can't convince me that you're doing 0 damage to your body. It will catch up to you.

So would working extra hours, drinking, or any other body stressing activity. I don't deem people good or bad by what they contribute to society. Because people don't fit the cookie cutter mold of society, they are lowly people?

I think the only lowly people are sad people, who live sad lives.

But, you're right in that most drug addicts do live sad lives, I'm not talking about being addicted.

My schedule is I party 3 times a month, and I choose what i'm willing to do those nights, usually cocaine, but sometimes norcos, or footballs., or whatever. And I don't feel the need nor want to do them when I'm not partying.

    Addiction?

So if you realize that partying is the source of the "addiction" why not just remove partying? If the addictive personality is not there it should be easier then most would find it.

    Addiction?

I've tried most everything except psychedelics, acid and shrooms never even appealed to me.

However in my journey of drug abuse, I found my favorite drug was either a cigarette or joint dipped in liquid PCP, known as a 'sherm stick'.

Now, there are many misconceptions on sherm, a lot of people think it's a cigarette dipped in embalming fluid, this is false, don't try it, it will KILL you. liquid PCP got the street name 'embalming fluid' and thats where the misconception comes from.

However, sherm is next to impossible to find around here these days, and even when it was possible it was more than twice what you pay for it in a big city.

My tranquility comes with pot. I used to smoke it daily and very heavily before religious ceremony. I am currently on probation and unable to use it however, and it fuckin' sucks lol.

Never actually been addicted to anything but cigarettes though.

    Addiction?

I can't say I am addicted to anything like Drugs, Alcohol etc. My addiction is candy. More specifically sour candy. My Dr's say that I crave something within the breakdown of Citric Acid. My only side effects are weight gain and possible diabetes in the future.

I am hoping to kick the habit, but I feel the need to eat it almost every day. It gives me the same pleasure as if I were smoking pot.

I may not be able to say that I can identify with you on drug use, but I can see where you are coming from.
