Support Center Participant

I just realized I got the little panda badge by my name. I'm not fully aware of what it means/how I got it.

Are such badges just given out, for example with this one, for just posting a lot in the personal support section? Or is it for actually doing something like giving advice that really did help someone? I mean if I really helped someone, hooray, but if I just got the badge because I hang around in the personal support section pretty often when I'm on here, I don't believe I should have a badge because anyone can hang around in a section, they can give advice that would make the persons problem even worse.

Yeah, thats nothing great... I'd prefer getting a badge or whatever they're called on here for making a difference and actually helping someone.

 

You do not have to display the mini-rank if you don't want to.

I don't mind having it, don't get me wrong I like it by my name and all. I just feel that NO ONE should have any kind of badge unless they actually did something to earn it, such as getting a support center badge one would have to get referals from people who their advice actually helped and etc.

 

Just be hard to manage that way I guess, generally people who don't give good advice/spam get their messages removed more so than any other section(s), so it's an indicator you do help
