Account Hacked, help please.

My runescape main, which is almost completely maxed, only thing not 99 is 95 slayer got hacked today.

They changed my registered email and the runescape website won't allow me to go to my recovery questions to recover it, it only gives me a certain amount of tries to give the correct email...

I have sent an email to [email protected] but I am worried by the time they even get around to reading my email, my entire bank will be wiped clean, and I suck at money making, it took me somewhere around 8 1/2 - 9 years to get my stats and my 400m bank, I can't waste away another 9 years of my life on runescape, so if I lose my shit, I'll probably never get it back.

Is there a Jmod friendchat or anything I can enter with an alt account and tell them my situation and ask that my email be reviewed quickly or that the account immediately becomes locked?

 

You'll have to wait it out until they send back an email or you can get in contact with there Twitter of one of the Jmods and message them about your problem they'll get back to you so fast because they're always on there when doing Runescape related stuff.

There are forum sections that Jagex check regularly, one for "Hacker Set Registered Email" and "Forgot Registered Email"

Just took a quick look, it seems like they discontinued the support thread that I used last time I had to reset a registered email. Found what you need to do, fill out this template and send it to [email protected] , I know you have already contacted them

TEMPLATE
• The name of the account.
• Your reason for contacting us.
• When you last successfully logged into the game with that account (please be specific if you can, giving a precise date if possible)
• Where the account was created? (include the country)
• When the account was created? (please be as specific as possible, ideally providing month and year)
• The name of the Internet Service Provider (ISP) you used when you created the account? We need the name of the company who provide your internet services, not the name of your web browser
• The ISP that you are using now?
• The last time you changed your password?
• If you have ever given us your address please provide it, remember to include Zip Code/Post Code
• If you have JAG enabled on your account, please give us the answers to your questions
• Answer 1
• Answer 2
• Answer 3
• Answer 4
• Answer 5
• If you have have recoveries, please provide us with any of your answers.
• Any Billing details you have that help prove who you are – good examples are the names of credit card holders or transaction ID’s
• Your IP address - if you don’t know it, type “IP Address” into Google and your address will appear above the results
• The new email you would like registered to your account.

 

I have already sent that email, but I had to do that on an account I forgot the email I used for it about 2 months ago, and it took them 2 weeks to get back to me, if it takes that long on this account, I'll be wiped clean.

 

Wow man, that it terrible news. Same thing has happened to me in the past. As long as you have some older information about the account and you submit an email to Jagex, you should be able to get it back.

Happened to me a while back, drained my whole bank though :/

 

yeah, I can't afford to lose my bank. I don't have time to sit around making cash and I don't have RL cash to spend on buying gold. Is there no possible way at all to directly contact a Jmod and have the account locked? Could I call Jagex? lol

If they were able to change your registered email address then you are probably key logged.

 

I'm sorry that this happened man. But, realistically your gold and items are probably already gone unless you had a bank pin.

Also, you may want to consider formatting your computer because if you got hacked then it is likely that your computer is still infected.

 

Like bloodymager said, there is not much hope for your bank unless you have a pin set (You always should...). But they almost always respond to the parents email within 6 hours. Best of luck and I will keep my fingers crossed for your bank

 

Has been a lot of hackings lately

 

If you sent it to that email they usually get back to you within 12-24 hours. Just wait it out and best of luck.
