Apparently the actual requirements are little more than what they currently are for maximum quality. Furthermore you could just play in a slightly lower resolution and experience the new content, without the additional graphical update?

 

I mean it doesn't look to bad, but it will probably be hella laggy.

 

Depends on your computer. Since they're going to try and optimize the game to work on tablets, RS3 HTML5 should work just fine on the majority of computers relatively quick.

 

you guys are really making the thread fun and not boring by adding all the colors and pictures looks nice.

 

Great thread Chloe! Though I don't really follow EOC cause I prefer 07, I wouldnt mind following this thread and possibly playing the live game again. Keep it up

 

SOF - Slayer masks!

If you're like me and you loved the previous slayer masks, than you'll love these even more!
New masks have been added to the Squeal of Fortune from Friday 12th July 00:00 GMT until Sunday 21st July 23:59 GMT.

The 5 news masks are -

Mask of Mourning (banshees)

Mask of Gelatin (jellies)

Mask of Dust (dust devils)

Mask of Granite (gargoyles)

Mask of Vines (mutated jadinkos)

Out of 35/40 spins I've only yet to get the Banshees and Jellies, maybe others will have better luck! These masks give a cool emote + extra slayer XP so they're worth hunting for!

It's getting closer!



The new Lumbridge quest seems to be arising on us faster and faster as there's a big difference with the black hole in Lumbridge. I'm so pumped for this quest as from the rumors I've heard you get to pick and choose what happens in the quest so the outcome of Runescape is in YOUR hands!

Not much happening this week, but let's hope this quest release comes soon! ​

 

Not much going on within the past week, although I think we'll be in for a big surprise coming the next few days! Everyone should be aware that Runescape is going to be going down for a lot of maintenance lately so make sure to stay away from dangerous areas that may make you lose expensive items.

Not much happening as I said, but I'm sure in 3 days we'll be very happy with the content released! ​

 

Runescape 3 is finally here! Along with the new interface, new music, and top notch graphics.
Personally I was extremely disappointed at the release for the first few days but then when I started playing more and more I learnt to appreciate the smoothness and effort the Jagex team put into it. We'd really love to hear your thoughts on how you're getting along with it, it's confusing at first but once you get the hang of it, you'll be back into it in no time!



With the release of RS3 came the awesome new 2+ month long "Quest" The Battle of Lumbridge, if you head to the Lumbridge loadstone you'll see a new war has massed out between Saradomin and Zamorak - Who's side will you be on?



Once you've chosen a side, head down and you'll need to collect tears to fetch rewards - You can either:

Woodcut tears - 5xp WC


Mine tears - 5xp Mining


Fish tears - 5xp Fishing


Currently the only reward really worth going for is the emote which is really cool, the other items such as the armor is weak and you're better off waiting for tier 3 to be unlocked in the coming weeks!

Divination

The new skill is closer than you think, there's already a poll asking for which cape YOU as a player would like to see as the 99!

Lamps have been converted on the SOF to give +50% more XP - I can't say this is the best update as in the past I knew someone who gained 13mill XP on slayer lamps from the slayer weekend from buying 1000 spins. ~Over $500 in spins.

I'll give you credit for the effort put into making this thread although the information isn't that useful imo.

 

Hence why I post links to useful information, I don't want it to be big blocks of text, I want it to be mainly pictures to show people how fun it can be.

I'll be choosing Saradomin side once I'm on my better computer. Very excited to jump into RS3. I voted for Cape #1 lol. #6 is winning atm with 41% of the vote.

 

My computer use to be able to run RS2 on high detail.. then the HTML5 thing came out and all i can play is as is min... I dislike it lol -.- I might have to upgrade my video cards and junk

 

Divination

You heard right, we now have more information on the new and exciting skill Divination!



You'll be gathering and exploring and along the way you'll learn more things about Runescapen ad Gielinor itself.
They're really not giving away much information apart from the fact that it's a gathering skill and something that will be a lot more fine then grinding like mining, I honestly can't wait!

The Death of Chivalry


What is that you say? Why it's a brand new quest that will blow your socks off!



This quest is part of the Black Knight's fortress quest and the Gods Sara and Zammy will be involved as well.
They've updated the castle + the music to make this another one of those amazing quests to sit back and enjoy.
The rewards at the end of the quest are apparently going to be very well worth it, so if you haven't completed that quest I'd get cracking!

New and improved Loyalty rewards!



If you're like me and you've been a member of Runescape for awhile you're going to love this update, the loyalty program is merging with SGS (Solmons general store) which means you'll be able to buy items from the SGS with loyalty points (We're not sure if it's vice versa)

Also a quote from Runescape:

I wonder what the reward could be? Guess we'll have to strap ourselves in and find out. Another note, starting on Monday 19th August, the Loyalty Shop will close down for one week, but I'm still unsure if you'll still be able to use your Jack of All trades aura a mod is yet to confirm this, I'll edit this once I find out if anyone wants to know.
