Can an admin implement this? (Private Messages)

Okay, so you won't increase PM box to unlimited (assuming) because of the space it takes up. However, every time someone sends me a message while my inbox is full, I get this e-mail.




Now, you're already using the mailserver's resources to do this.

Why not just include the contents of the PM in this e-mail? I'm sure this will be an easy solution for all. Thanks

I can see this being a 'security issue' with spoof e-mails. Just put a warning at top that it's only a friendly alternative and the user should empty their PM box so the messages are verifiable.

Phishing emails are already possible - I don't see how one including a fake PM would be any more effective

 

Well if people start using it as an official form of communication, it can cause an issue. If implemented, it would have to be made 100% certain that the user understands it is in no way secure. For example, if I'm messaging you to confirm a trade, you should make sure you view the PM on Sythe.org

 

Well, naturally - a user with a full inbox should already understand this though.

However, I'm not so sure I support this wholeheartedly any more. The spoof emails does seem to be a major problem regarding trading.

 

The average Sythe user is fucking stupid.

Anything that brings up security issues is an instant no from me.

No reason to have a full box Take screenshots of important messages and keep them on your computer (by important i mean people who you weren't 100% confident with to not scam, grab the screen shots of them showing you who they are on skype)

 

Delete your PMs/take photos of the important ones and save them in a notepad, that's what I do. The risk for phishing emails is too high and it would obviously happen before any of us could blink.
