How do u feel about the removal of gambling?

I used to place bets sometimes, not massive bets but just for fun really.
I'm not too bothered that it's gone although if I was doing FM or something and someone would just sit there for half an hour spamming it would get ridic.

I think that's a better idea then removing completely and mute/ban players who do it.

 

I'm just happy to see Jagex ruining their game again, they're such fucking idiots. Look at their player base now, wish they'd just hand over the game to a half decent company, because it's utter shit at the moment.

 

Im happy its gone it eliminates people risking their bank then crying rivers, then they flood the ge begging for gold

 

It encourages scamming and therefore involves oldschool players quitting over a game they used to love

 

All the people who gamble should know they have risk...

 

Games without risk suck. Do you really want to play a game where you fish for hours so you can make money to spend it all training herblore for hours? It's not like anyone is forced to gamble, they know the risks going in.

 

Hated it! It came too late! I turned 500m into 5.6b and then was filled with regret when i gambled it all away .... Kidding it was fun and i miss dragondyce when it was peaking, staking at duel arena all depends on luck, although there were heaps of scammers within the gambling community the trusted ones always had the better odds much better then staking

I quit about a year ago when EOC came out.. and i came back just in time to see gambling gone. I really missed it but there are still ways to do it. Check out my sig. But, i really hope they bring it back in-game.

 

IDC cause I quit the game. You can still gamble through IRC, but with dicing.

 

Gambling wasn't removed, it was hindered. Dragon dyce, Cora dyce, and smokin mils still support gambling on irc.

 

Gambling is now an activity that can ban you. Also, irc isnt IN runescape... Runescape, itself, did remove gambling. The players just found other ways without gambling IN runescape if u know what i mean...

And tbh i hate IRC. Its not the same and i want something IN runescape

 

I dont know, good is that there is now less spam and my computer can now run rs without any lagg , but bad cuz i have won sometimes in 55x2 :/
They should add gambling npc

 

To be honest gambling still goes on till now using Swifkit IRC so I still don't feel different.

 

I actually did not mind gambling as I stayed away from it but a lot of people hate is as they either got cleaned or their friend who just got cleaned has borrowed 100m from them and just lost it to gambling.

 

You can say that to every activity in runescape... "just lost 200M in smithing " "shit cleaned me - staking" "oh man i didnt see him coming and lost my bank in the wilderness"

Dont try to have reasons... Gambling is an activity that alot of people play safely and they KNOW that they are risking something. I HATE TO REPEAT BUT DONT PLAY IF YOU DONT WANNA RISK -.-

Its their fault if they lost their bank... They knew they had a chance to lose

i personally miss the old days with actual dice bags, and i myself will miss it altough its still possible with irc etc.

Part of this is true, part of this is taking it too easy. If you let people gamble with ease and allow it, you get people that start developing problem gambling even tho it's just a game in alot of people their eyes. Could be seen as 'its only ingame money who cares' But honestly i know a dozen people who have spent alot (up in the hundreds) of dollars just to feed their gambling addiction in runescape alone. Seeing as alot of kids play rs its not a bad thing that it has been removed. You confuse losing and spending money in general with gambling aswell, going into the wild with a high risk while pking isn't gambling since there are no odds really and skill is a factor. Same with smithing, if you choose to spend 200m on smithing it's not the same as gambling it away since it doesn't happen by the roll of a dice. Staking wasn't made for gambling either but rather to have a set risk against your opponent and it was never their intention to make it a game for gambling.
