Scam Archive Reference Programme

The Community Development Team alongside our newest recruit KMJT are working towards a new program to prevent users being scammed on Sythe.
If all goes according to plan, this program will either be downloadable and kept updated or featured on Sythe.org.

Demotions/Resignations

I think we can all agree when I say this, but there is a massive departure with MohtasaUnique, Corey and -Ryan resigning from the staff team, who have both been long serving moderators to the site.
Mohtasa since September 2011 as a sectional, and December 2012 as a Global, -Ryan since September 2012 as a sectional, and Corey since February 2011, and September 2011 as a global.
We hope to see you come back some day; you've all been great assets to the team.

#1 - It is impossible for me to pick just one.....
So many people have played such an enormous role in my past and present on Sythe, that picking just one would be far too difficult for me to do.

#2 - An amazing experience.




#1 - Jimmy, Swan, Deacon, Sin, or Darren
Jimmy because he's cool.
Swan because he promoted me and he's cool.
Deacon because he's smart and great to work with and funny as hell and he's cool.
Sin because she is smarter than fuck and one of the best staff members we ever had and she's cool.
Darren because he's a badass debater and he's cool. Except for the Sigex shit. That wasn't very cool.

#2 - Could do better





#1 - Skele - That is the guy I watched a lot.
Before staff on while on staff along side of him.
Learned a lot of what I know from that man and hope he returns someday.

Starting with the basics, how did you find Sythe and what were your intentions upon joining?
My friend told me I could sell my old Runescape accounts for IRL profit and I was intrigued so I googled and found Sythe.

You've been around for a while now. What has kept you around all these years?
Friends and profit.

What did you think when you were first promoted?
At the time I had too much time on my hands so I was glad lol.

What are your main interests outside of Sythe? What do you enjoy doing?
Basketball and lifting.

Do you work at the moment or have any sources of income?
Nope, I take university classes all year round (aside from a few week long breaks).

Describe yourself in three words?
Better than RsProd.

What was the strangest thing that has happened to you?
Probably around 2 months ago when I accidentally scammed RsProd. I asked him one day to sell me like 30m EOC, he gave me it and then I guess we both afked and I never got around to paying him. Over the next few days he kept telling me in skype chats "send me money pl0x lol" and I just phased out everytime I thought he was being a troll. About 3 days of this went on before I finally realized I actually owed him money for the 30m lol. Everytime he asked me for it on skype I would just laugh because I thought he was joking.

What are your plans for your future on Sythe?
Nothing really, pretty content where I am at atm.

What first brought you to Sythe?
I&#8217;ve known about Sythe since it&#8217;s early days, but it was only mid 2011 that I decided to completely quit playing RSClassic private servers and give RS2 a shot.
It was the sizable and highly active RS blackmarket which immediately caught my attention on Sythe.
I initially started by offering a skill training service and gradually expanded to mass gold-farming, selling RSGP on a regular basis.

It must have been good to be promoted to OMM, then. Were you surprised?
I was definitely surprised to be promoted after the submission of only one application,
as I understand this is an extremely rare event and the majority of current OMM&#8217;s were accepted after numerous applications.
However, I&#8217;ve now been MM&#8217;ing on Sythe for over 16 months and have completed more than 200 trades,
the OMM rank has always been one of my main goals on Sythe. Luckily I managed to achieve the rank first time round,
but even if I had been denied I would have continued to re-apply in the proceeding months!

What advice would you give to anyone going for the position of OMM?
For those of you just starting out a MM&#8217;ing service with your eyes on the OMM title &#8211; build up your vouch count first, but remember quality > quantity.
It&#8217;s a lot easier to gain the required proof if you&#8217;re already &#8220;trusted&#8221; to a certain extent. If I remember correctly,
I didn&#8217;t start MM&#8217;ing until I hit the 75 vouch mark, and even then it was relatively slow! It does take time so keep at it.

For those of you who are more experienced &#8211; remain active and get involved with the Sythe community, don&#8217;t lose hope if you&#8217;re denied.
Please don&#8217;t kiss ass, you&#8217;re better off just being yourself, those who truly deserve it will eventually be rewarded!

Besides from Sythe, what other hobbies do you have?
I greatly enjoy hanging out with friends and meeting new people (most would say I&#8217;m a party animal on weekends!).
I'm passionate about the music and film industries, and religiously follow my Italian Serie A team, Juventus.

Any final words or comments?
Hit me up if you have any questions regarding MM&#8217;ing certain types of trades, I&#8217;m a friendly and approachable dude.
I&#8217;m highly experienced in a wide range of trades and will be able to guide you through the process if you&#8217;re having any difficulties.
