Live stream section

pretty much er body streams are popping up all over the place now, i suggest making a section between spamforum and video clips section, and Have i believe its BBcode allowed in that section only, so we can embed our **********s players there, i spoke with n4n0 about the embeding awhile back but he said only rich could allow this.



Benefits of it

more traffic to the streamers, who can help promote sythe. N4n0 and myself already do this

When people google else, it will help show sythe aswell on the google search as the streams will be embed.


will help bring non-roonfags to the site for other games for black marketing.

Teamliquid has embed streams on there site, and they get around 50k veiwers a day.


basicly its free advertising fo sythe.

 

Personally I think we should look at condensing the OT section some and having a live-stream section in there.

 

thats what i meant, inbetween vid clips/sf in the ot section

 

It needs a total restructure (OT) is what I'm getting at, a lot of the OT sections aren't as used as others.

but that's just me, maybe because I don't use some of the OT sections I don't notice activity.

 

more or less anything between sf/SFA is dead.

 

I'd add it as a sub-section or a sticky under video clips. Not that many people stream, maybe 10 at most?

 

sub section is fine, sticky meh.. prefer to have my own thread to manage etc

 

I would like to see this done as well. I know I am not a known streamer, but I do enjoy watching others! This would just make it easier to find instead of checking spam/VC forums for them.

I love watching streams too, but i feel it isnt a big enough audience at sythe. Probably 10 at most? (like what AMM said)

 

prob tons of people who stream ,they just dont know were to post the link. also it isnt just for streamers to make a thread its for veiwers to watch/come to sythe.

 

will we be allowed to have our streams embedded aswell? as currently that option is disabled for regular people.

i believe n4n0 stated it was a security issue.

Both embedding and the section have been approved

I'll deal with making the section later tonight if I get around to it.
