Two questions: 1) Have you ever received the "Nigerian Prince" email? Personally i have never even seen it 2) Any real world experiences with being scammed not on sythe? even though i know its like scam central here -.-
That's because it is also retard central. OT: I've never been scammed before an I've never had that Nigerian prince scam sent to me either. Tbh I think that scam is just so bad, that it became famous, but it's no longer used.
Have had a similar thing, only it was like, some African country Army General or some shit, offering me a "$250,00" (which yes, he claimed that as being Two-Hundred, Fifty-Thousand..lol). Replied to his e-mail with a picture of a naked dude, and said, "Well, I dunno, Mr. General...do you accept...NUDE-ENTHUSIASTS?!"...he replied, "Disgrace, you lose big time, i try to give help from my people to you, you deny and mock...sorry, next person might be appreciative more....goodbye Mr Lost ((funniest part here, he used the name from an old RSPS I was an admin on, and began using as surnames for some websites, lmao.) Also, c'mon nooow, Sythe's cleaned up a good bit, less scamming now than what my brother tells me it was like back around '08-'10, but can't confirm or deny it.
They usually target older people, because they're more likely to fall for the scam. They always ring up my nan and it pisses me off and I always end up picking the phone up and telling them to wait while I get my credit card details and they literally sit on the phone for 30 minutes+
Forgot to share this one - completely unrelated from the situation I posted before. I got a phone call once, and when I answered (as a kind young man usually does, right? hah), on the other end, I just hear like, muffled screams, and obviously digitally-created explosions and gunfire. Then a man, sounding, I'd like to say, Setswanese (if that's right...Setswana? Anyway, sounded like a person from Botswana (only feel strongly of that due to a movie I watched back in High School, guys sounded extremely similar) Anyway, after the clearly bullshit explosions, gunfire, screams, etc. faded to background noise, this dude, acted (very poorly, to where I laughed my ass off), as if he had just been shot in a civil war, and was asking me for my bank information to transfer his remaining life funds to me. Seems a bit over the top, doesn't it? I love these kinda attempts, though, man, since they're easy to pick out, they're just funny in the end, haha.
I have been scammed on here. At one time, my wife played runescape with me because she liked rappelz when we used to play so I wanted to get her into this, and I hired someone to get a firecape for me, but I had never bought/sold anything at that time on here, so I had no clue I should have inboxed him on here to assure it was him on skype, so they took the 30m or so I had put on her account and I had to give her more and then hire someone else to do it. (I suck at firecape, I cant evn do it on a maxed account, its the healers. I can do kiln alot easier) And you read my life story thread, so you know about me gettin fucked over outside of sythe and saw pics of what it looked like lol

Kinda felt like giving him a random string of numbers and seeing how high his hopes shot up, or rather, how fast he hung up the phone. Heheh.
1) Yep! I actually have, although I wasn't stupid enough to fall for it 2) Nope, but I'm new here and I hope to avoid it completely.
Only been scammed a few times online but none really major except one but it was my fault to trust an old friend i have receive that email before though
