I support this, but only if the person is accepting anything but 07 GP.

as if they are selling it in game, there is no way to really scam them for 07 gold, but other methods i do agree need a picture.

 

It's pointless and I don't really know why it's a rule for the main's item exchange section.

Just because the person has the item, does not mean he can be trusted with the value of the item. With or without proof, it comes down to trust. And I don't know if people thinks one can be more trusted if they show a picture of said item. Not to mention it's really simple to use paint and make it look like I have the item, although not worth the hassle because that doesn't have a role in how much the buyer trusts me.

Gold sellers like H1 can also get you any Phat for example. I'm pretty sure he buys it and sells it to you for a similar rate, much like GP. A picture is more pleasing to the buyer's eyes, you get more replies as well (prob attempt scams). But ultimately it should be up to the seller whether he/she wants to improve his/her thread or not.

 

I'd say no. Most of the items being sold in the 07 section are being sold for 07 gp, so there's 0 risk of a scam. Also, some of the items are pretty junky, (god pages, etc.), and I can't see anyone pretending to have an item worth like 50k. The items that are valuable, the sellers tend to go ahead and include pictures anyway (dfs, dark bow).

I'd actually support removing the requirement in the eoc section too. If someone intends to scam, having a picture requirement doesn't stop them. If someone posts selling like 12 crackers, there will be plenty of people demanding pictures anyway. I think requiring pictures, especially for 07, is just an unnecessary hurdle for people selling items that perhaps aren't very valuable, and thus unlikely to be scams

For now it's not necessary, however if rares are implemented into the game, or rare/discontinued items are added into the game. Then there's a chance the sticky will be necessary.
