First post, New signature maker to Sythe!

It may be because they're all stacked together but I dislike the style. It's too hard to tell what's going on. The foreground merges with the background, the liquification or whatever photoshop effect you used in the background defeats any flow of direction, and the focal is damnnear impossible to see upon first glance with a few of them. Primarily Wolverine, cass, and talon. The white boarder framed portions of the signatures are nice effects, except it's often framed references of something already happening in the main signature. It makes it redundant and the effect loses its charm. A few of the signature also has frames on the opposite side of the focal, cass for example, and it defeats the whole focal effect, spreading it thin across the entire image. Your watermark 'G' often conflicts with the signature, I advice reducing the size or changing the blending option maybe, so it doesn't dominate the focus with size and solid color. Lastly, and this is just convention:


You should put in real words here, not just "hbkiwueriojblskdfjskwert". I suggest the League of Legends character lore? Just copy and paste a small section in, something so it doesn't jump out as gibberish, hastily included for effect.

 

I appreciate your lengthy response to my signatures, I'm also able to take in your advice and understand that their not for everyone but I'm willing to taking a chance and do what you're more interested in.
Also, you caught me with my "kiwhbueriojblskdfjskwert" on my text, usually people don't really care to look really into that, but if that's what YOU'd like to see I'm willing.

I forgot to mention things I did like about it, I'm nitpicking, but I do think they're good images. I'm glad to see someone is stepping forward to get sythe out of this abysmal 3D text rut.

They do have great color, and I do enjoy the frame effect on a few of them. Wolverine is particularly good, the text dominates, but it also helps the focal stand out more than if it were just wolverine and the background. So good on you and keep it up

EDIT: and as a general, the colors are great, I'm a fan of the over exposed color schemes and the washed out palettes.

Just some friendly advice, the Sythe graphics section doesn't really have any members that make traditional sigs and therefore doesn't really attract much business, but hey you're always welcome to give it a try. I would try websites specifically set out for this kind of work.

 

Being different gives attention. And I think by separating yourself from the rest of the crowd, you'll do just fine here, perhaps better than many.

I think you overuse the liquidizing effect. I mean it's nice, but too dominant, and distracts the eye from the actual purpose of the signature. You should have the render/main image of the signature being the focal point, and should meet the eye first. To do this, perhaps add lighting effects, or use the technique of isolation. This will enhance the image in a way that the liquidized/ripples remain the background, and not the foreground.

As for positives, I like the way you do little cutouts, and use them as borders, or magnified parts of the image. It's a very nice effect.
I also like the overall feel of your art.
It feels very cohesive, like a collection almost.
The colours used are well chosen, bleached, but still vibrant.

The focals don't really stand out and there's no real lighting in most of them, maybe use different effects besides liquify and blur and sharpen them. The blending is good and you have good a colour choices though.

 

It's nice to see some of the signatures which would be very popular on other sites, not just text.
Your lighting effects are nice, but you always seem to go with one colour, which is that purple shade, mostly that anyways.
I feel like the liquefy effect is used too much in some of them.
Otherwise I like them, and I hope to see you around the graphics section!
