And if you think differently, you probably get scammed multiple times a month I'd bet.

 

They factor into it

It would depend on the trade value for what I would trust them with but ultimately, I would trust neither of them and would either have them go first seeing as I am an OMM or just trade someone else. It's not like it would be mandatory to trade them as someone else would be willing to purchase what I had for sale/sell me what I am looking for.

 

They don't factor in when you've been around as long as FireZ, and seen 500 dollar donors and ex-administrators from 2005 scam as easily as they pick their noses. You come to realize donor ranks and join date are, in effect, negligible.

 

That isn't really true, a member since 2005 can be a very active member who has a lot of post count.
Just never uses the market or buys stuff.

Well, as everyone else has stated. I believe donor ranks/join dates aren't a factor in whether or not someone is trustwrothy. I believe trust is built over a long period of time.. But with that being said, I would choose to trust the donor > join date (if I had to)

 

Join date is irrelevant as well as donor rank, either could've been faked/used.

Credible vouches and previous transactions is the only way to go.

If you're a 2005 member and you only have 10 vouches... like others said they are just inactive. The newcoming donor is more trustworthy, but I'd only trust them with less than they donated.

$5k donor all the way. they wouldn't scam a few bucks after donating 5k

 

5k donor, id trust him more than someone with 100 vouches

 

Unless the 10 vouches were from this year from mods/trusted users for large amounts going first, then of course the $5000 donator.

 

probably the $5000 donor, but i remember like a year ago some dude just donated $100 then scammed me out of a gt, and also got banned. dude probably made out with like $60 at the time lel

The $5,000 donor. Even though it would be odd seeing a newcomer donate that much if they were new to Sythe. Nice thread though.
