How many people play EOC

Most people who like 07 scape are old fags who want to Stake and earn bank, and nostalgia and PK.

 

Eoc is ridiculous now. 07 scape is the way to go for me

I still play EOC

I cba retraining everything again. I love 07Scape a lot too, and I will still play it, but EOC will remain my main game.

 

Many new players join and play EoC, so they don't really know why/how people enjoy the former style of Runescape. Personally, I like old school way better but I don't have the time or energy to make a new account and start over again. I wish we could bring our accounts over onto the old school servers without items/gold.

 

I've only just come back to Runescape and used the new combat system today, at first glance i think it's alright, although i haven't PK'ed yet. So i guess we will see. haha

 

The 2007 servers were actually a smart move - a lot of players who quit Runescape in general came back for '07 just for the nostalgia, and then after a while decided to try out EOC as well, and figured out that's it's just a little bit complicated but still fun as hell.

 

I've moved to 07 but only for PKing. Really, if you're a main stick to EOC.

More on topic, there are more bots (ratio-wise) in EOC.. Anyone who tries to argue clearly hasn't walked around both EOC and 07 recently.. I'd probably say there are more REGULAR legit players in 07, but EOC would still get more through.

 

I play EOC, but I've had a really hard time having fun in it lately.. everything feels like a chore or entirely meaningless, whether it doesn't reward with any money or experience in the skill seems to have no purpose. Oldschool seems more interesting given that skills actually serve a purpose and are monetarily rewarding.. RS' economy is too old with too few new items / resources invented so the currently existing ones are way too over-saturated to the point where nearly everything but bossing is worthless.

 

as a vet player I LOVE EOC. I personally think it was a great addition to the game MUCH NEEDED. But all comes down to what you wanna play.

 

eoc is better the "whole" community moved to 07 is a lie people who play 07 will soon return to eoc as the 07scape is just people saying YOU MAD BRO WOW FAIL thats i stopped playing it community is just as rotten

 

Roughly 40% of actual non-bot players play 07 vs 60% EoC. If you didn't play back in 07/don't plan on pking, I wouldn't play 07. 07 is good because the combat system isn't complete garbage, but if you just want to be a main, go play EoC. Oh yeah, and buy more spins.

 

I think that less than 50% of the players will be legit, but that's still a lot of legit players to say that currently there is 3 rs's you can play, and there will be 4 once RS3 is released. EoC is brilliant if you like PvM and a challenge, but if you like PvP and 'Point & Click', then osrs is for you.

 

Eoc is garbage.

 

To be fair, people who didn't play the beta just find it easier to jump on the bandwagon and say EoC is rubbish. I always felt it was just released far too soon and thus the damage was done. They should have introduced all these changes more slowly. The action bar could have been released and just helped us train skills faster. Then they could have released dual weaponry and get us used to that shit. Finally, release SOME abilities and gradually have more and more. But they just said, here, take what you get. It confused me, it confused others and most people (even the fans) agree lots of it wasn't ready or could have been improved more. Granted not many people were playing the beta, but that still shouldn't have prevented them releasing the update in parts.

No, I tell you what really killed RS. You guys. ANYONE that botted has killed RS. People got greedy. People wanted skills as fast as possible and just forgot to enjoy the fucking game. The economy just got fucked up and people started buying their way to skills more and more (i.e. buying gold and then using that gold). Because people started doing this, genuine players could not compete so they either quit or started botting too. How many people can actually say they have never botted in their lives? Bullshit that the best part of the game is experienced at higher levels. That is bullshit. I love questing. I love training my skills and getting those levels and getting up the highscores. But its no longer fun when some fucker just bots and puts zero effort. So no, EoC didn't ruin the game, but the greedy botters and Jagex for not doing enough to stop them.

 

EOC = Awful.

 

I'm still botting EOC. I've had one account since 2003 and it has been autoing nearly 24/7 since 2008 with the exception of the Bot Nuke.

Well evryone has their own taste! I'll stick with 07 because i'm outdated with all the items in the game, and i don't really like the concept of a spellbar in runescape.
