    Scared for my safety

Basically me and my friends were throwing snowballs and one hit this mans window he came out looking pretty angry so we legged it, then seeing him later with only one of my mates he threatened to slit our throats i stood there and just listened i even apologised and said it was an accident and offered to shake his hand and end it there, he decided to tell me to fuck off (he had his kids over the road who heard everything great example he is) now he follows us in the mornings and we told another two kids all about it so they went and did it to him then we got the blame and he's been searching round the area for us so i'm afraid to walk around to the shop or my friends house for days i dont know how to confront him

I definitely feel you. It's because of creeps like this that I take Israeli Martial Arts.

If you're extremely concerned about this and legitimately think you may be assaulted, I would contact the police but honestly there is very little they're going to be able to do for you.

Others might disagree with this sentiment, but provided you live in the United States, it's legal to carry around like a combat knife provided the blade isn't too long.

I highly doubt that this man will physically attack you, but in my opinion just knowing you have a knife in your pocket will calm you down, and if it really came down to it a knife is generally considered the scariest weapon to be up against. We're trained to run from knives if at all possible.

I would recommend calling the cops and let them know what has been happening. Have you talked to your parents?

Definitely inform the cops that he is stalking you. You won't get in trouble if all you did is throw a snowball at his window.

Carry protection is always a good start. If your of the age, a concealed weapons license for a handgun is around 200$USD. If your under 21 (in the USA) carry a switchblade or brass knuckles? dont sweat it until it happens, and when it does dont go down easy.

Ack! No brass knuckles! I actually own a pair I bought last year and they had to be sold as a "paper weight". Brass knuckles are illegal!

I'd highly recommend brass knuckles over a knife, but since considered they're a combat-only weapon and don't serve any other purpose you aren't even supposed to own them.

Sometimes people overreact, just like a few months ago a teacher we pissed off said she would murder me and two of my friends, and then kill herself because "She isn't going to jail for anyone".

    So:

    1) It's an overreaction, and now you are seeing him about and because he is going place to place, you have become paranoid he is after you.

    2) If you HONESTLY feel you are in danger, call the police now. If you give them background on it, if anything happens they will be straight in there.

    3) If he goes out at some point I honestly advise some sort of written apology letter. It sounds pathetic, but showing maturity and sincerity might play well into your hands here. Just saying you realised what you did was stupid and you are really sorry.

Hope something I have written here is constructive for you :)

This reminds me of when my best freind and I would throw rocks into the main street of town. It was a very small village with nearly 700 people and we were stupid kids but we threw rocks across the street non the less and eventually we hit a car. After hitting this guys car with a rock he backed up and came around to talk to us. We ran like hell and every day after that I saw him and his big ass pit bulls ready to tear me apart it scared me to death. eventually I moved away and never thought of him again but I would suggest a restraining order that would legaly keep him away and if he breaks it or threatens you again while under it he would be facing jail time.

Sounds like your still a kid.
DEFINITELY tell your parent/guardian. They will know what to do. Depending where you live threats like this are illegal.

I highly disagree that you should carry a knife for protection as it might be used against you if you don't have full intent to use it. I myself have just gotten over witnessing the after effects of my best mate being stabbed 14 times. Even though it might be illegal one thing id consider using would be mace as it is quite effective and can be used from a distance

Buy some pepper spray, its better than a knife because if you end up using the knife you could kill him, in which YOU could end up going to jail possibly. Pepper spray in his eyes will make him unable to see/open them, allowing you to run and call 911.
