    Possibly spotted an invisible mod?

    Hey guys.

I was cannoning at dags earlier, right clicked a loot pile and saw:

    Level 1 (No name)
    The only option was examine
I examined it, and a blank line of text popped up in my chat window
I said "Hey jagex", and continued training for about 10 minutes, never seeing it again.
Possible that I've been flagged/was checked out by a hidden/invisible mod?
Will put up a screenshot of what I saw asap, just want some other opinions.

EDIT: PERM MUTED WITH UNVIEWABLE EVIDENCE WITHIN 4 HOURS OF THIS EVENT HAPPENING.
I was called back in to work, had a 4 hour post. I was pming my little brother on RS just fine before I left. Came back, and lost communication with everybody. No one was replying to my PM's, or answering my questions in a clan chat, so I got curious. Checked my account status and boom:

TAKE HEED. I DO BELIEVE JAGEX IS MONITORING US WITH HIDDEN/INVISIBLE ADMINS/MODS.

Either you experienced some type of lag or you could be right. About 10 years ago on runescape classic you could click around and see "Null- Level 3" So, im not sure :p

    Possibly spotted an invisible mod?

Site kept going offline while I was trying to post this:

Sounds exactly like the invisible character named "null" that would appear in laggy areas and say random things in the chat box (not exactly random, just repeats of stuff some other people had said).

I'm going to assume this is another product of lag...Just a glitch in the system, similar to having attack options when you shouldn't, or options to click items that are not there.

Jagex wouldn't really have use for 'invisible' mods tbh...They could always just go on accounts that look like normal players - and from one of their job advertisements on their website, it looks like some player mods might actually be Jagex employees.

KLDG, I remember that, but figured by August 07 it would have already been patched/fixed.
@ those pointing at lag, I wasn't lagging and was on a world with a good ping.
It's possible that my cannon could have generated a little lag, but not a whole lot.. definitely not enough to glitch up.
It's just strange that when I said something in chat, it disappeared completely. I could move my cursor, right click again and it was in the same spot. As soon as I talked, it went away about 5-10 seconds later.
    I should have vidded >_>
I'll be putting up the screenie of what I saw here in about an hour.

It's not necessarily 'lag', it's just that things like that used to happen very frequently when there was a lot going on in one place - a lot of people, a lot of animations, etc.

I see.. well, I'll upload the screenie later, got about 6k cballs left to go, if I can get it to happen again I'll vid and see if it can be for sure determined if it's something involving the game/server or if it could in-fact be a hidden mod.

By the way, after thinking about it..
    Invisible mods could be useful.
If a mod hasn't played up his account enough, and doesnt have the stats to survive in certain areas that he wants to monitor that were heavily botted in EoC (I.E. Hill Giants, Moss Giants, Daggys, Green/Blue drags, Lessers, etc.)
A hidden admin/mod that is immune to attack would be a great way to monitor a dangerous area in an undetected manor.

Are you sure you weren't saying anything that was offensive?

Positive. And even if I did, the offense date wouldn't have been today, as the only person I talked to was my younger brother. Didn't type anything in public chat, didn't talk to anyone else, and haven't botted in 2-3 days.

Why a mute for botting though? surely they could just ban/temp ban instead?

I think invisible mod's are a large possibility.

Them being part of the game as a player means that they come with A LOT of attention. They can't pass forward as normal players as it's under the T&C's that this wasn't allowed. Any JaGex employee will always show their higher status to stop any confusion with them being impersonated.

And one method of showing superiority?
Mat K: Fuck it, I can be invisible and mute people.
    Normal Player: Fuck me.

That's messed up.. And a perm mute without evidence? Stupid. I'd be making some series complains to Jagex.
