In terms of Graves scam report

Hey i was scrolling the new posts and i saw that someone is accusing grave of scamming. I looked through the report and saw what it seemed to be was a pretty convincing scam report but no action was taken. They said that they feel grave shouldnt have to pay him back because they "think" the green P hat was keylogged. It doesnt matter how he got the item the fact is that grave scammed and i think action should be taken. Even if grave knew the kid stole the item it is still illegal to receive stolen gold. Personally i think they aren't going after him because he is either friends with them or because he is considered trusted on this site. If it was anyone else that did it im sure the ban would have been given and no one would think twice.

Sorry for the rant I just figured ill post this because it seemed unfair to me.

Nothing is final, we talked about this in the donor lounge. Staff are still coming to a decision that's why Grave is still banned.

Sometimes justice doesn't get served properly. The very least they could do is refund him the 600m he earned. The poor guys just lost 150m right now too =/.

Hopefully he makes a longer report with more information; I don't like how Grave seems to be able to get away with so much considering how many times he's been banned, and how he had even been associated with people whom you guys would call undesirable.

I sincerely hope they reconsider their decision. It isn't even counterscamming, especially when the 600m that is knowingly legitimate isn't given back.

I had to vent this out; I cannot believe this situation and how much bias there is about this. I hope he posts a good dispute.

 

I was thinking the same thing. That whole report seemed entirely unfair. Not only to the guy that lost the phat (no matter how he got it), but to everyone that has ever been scammed. He shouldnt even have to post another report because he showed more then enough evidence that he had his items stolen. If that was anyone else like me or you then the only reply to that scam report would be.
"Banned, sorry for your loss. Next time use a mm"
Or something like that.

Its not the fact that I want grave banned. I just think that situation was handled incorrectly and the decision made was very bias.

 

I found something fishy about grave aswell when dealing with him. He said he could confirm his identity on anything but sythe with a pm. For example his website. Note I was trying to sell around 10b it wasn't an impostor either.

 

I completely agree with this and I hope it gets enough attention from everyone. Yeah if he was a Sythe member, and if it was someone other than Grave. I like Grave, I really do... but after this, I really don't like it. Sure it's the moderators saying he doesn't have to refund, but he should still do it. I'm starting to lose a lot of respect and I was hoping an administrator would reply on that thread.

Both his Skype and website were hacked and may continue to be hacked. Those are probably the ways he wanted to verify so no, it probably wasn't Grave.

 

Well, here's my perspective, if anyone's interested.

Grave got hacked for about an hour, maximum two hours. With oldschool gold being the prominent seller, not a lot of EoC gold is exchanged within a day. I find it hard to believe that someone, who also happens to be from the same hacking/scamming website that the hacker was from, comes on to sell 600M and a green partyhat within that short timeframe, especially when we make it very clear we don't buy items countless times. In addition, Grave's buying thread was not bumped at all when this occurred, for three days, from what I see, so I also find it hard to believe that the member happened to stumble upon Grave's website to sell 2B. Now, all of this alone is suspicious, but other people, who happen to show me screenshots of them being 'scammed' by the hacker also had BugAbuse tabs open. I'm not saying this is 100% true, but I have reasons to believe it was set up.


Moving on to the Sythe rules.
As Richard recently showed, Sythe does not endorse the sale or purchase of stolen goods. It's very closely based on the major laws around the world regarding stolen goods as well, so let me give you an analogy. A thief goes to a store and tries to sell the copper he obtained from an AC unit. Turns out the shopkeeper isn't there, but some random person takes it from him and doesn't pay him. The thief now goes to the police station, and asks the shopkeeper to be held accountable. No one in their right mind would do that. If anything, the trade was between two scammers, one which previously scammed, and one which scammed the scammed goods from the other scammer. It's all stolen goods, so the ownership still lays between the original owner, and I was just a proxy which the scammer used to scam the other scammer. Now, I understand there's some concern about the 600M that was obtained legitimately. However, I'm yet to be convinced that it wasn't set up. I'm investigating all the complaints thoroughly and seeing who deserves what. If solid evidence is brought up on who the green partyhat actually belonged to, as well as solid evidence on the 600M being obtained legitimately and the whole thing not being framed, I'll become more adamant about paying it back, even if Sythe staff disagree. But otherwise, the entire situation is a mess and I don't think you guys should be harsh on me, taking into consideration the details.

Maybe because he's an asset to Sythe? He's suggested a few things that went through, including a big change in the SF a few months ago from when it was being strangled. He is also probably the only, active, user that process RSGP > donations for pretty much no profit. You're one to talk. You being an admin on BA would obviously back up your members who steal, pathetic.

Grave posted before me, and I'd have said pretty much what he did, except the whole time frame which I didn't know about.

 

The general public seems to be upset about the decision but the truth is none of you unless you are staff have seen the UNCUT 23 minute footage of the trade taking place, which includes us seeing his keylogging logs and his friendly conversation with a hacker. That in addition to Grave's information is why we believe it was staged.

Not to mention he told me he used to have a YouTube video advertising a DDoser that instead gives the downloader a virus.

I have no idea why the public is trying to protect this malicious user.

 

I don't think we as the "public" are trying protect anyone it's just the fact that if he did scam then he should be liable for it....in no way do I have a problem with graves and in no way should I think this supposed "hacker" should get anything back, but still there shouldn't be any leiance towards a scammer

 

Not sure why you are accusing Grave of scamming anything. He was hacked, he did not scam anything.

 

I didn't accuse graves of scamming I said if he did then he should be liable for it but I ask you KMJT if you weren't a mod and you didn't see the 23 mins of raw footage and you were just a normal sythe user what would you think?

Still seems like a fishy situation but like you said I do not know all the information so I will leave it at that
