Staff deleting threads in spam forum.

Who is someone to judge if someone else deserves respect or not? Half the people are not show respect and haven't even done anything wrong.

 

Any amount of name calling can eventually get to someone. If someone requests a thread be deleted because it's making them uncomfortable, what kind of place would this forum be where we told everyone to shut up and grow a pair? The spam forum is the most insignificant part of the forum. Those who want to use it to be immature and deliberately nasty can do so, amongst themselves.

So, let's say spam forum is making me uncomfortable, now you're gonna go and delete it then? I don't think so. It shouldn't be the case for posts as well.

People have the right to show their opinion and if that opinion is insulting others, let it be. If you don't let them take that anger out there, they'll threw it elsewhere on the forums, which will not change the outcome at all.

And since Spam forum is so insignificant, then don't care about it. Only threads with clear advertising intentions and other stuff that might be illegal or give bad rep for Sythe as a whole should be deleted and people making them should be infracted, but not trolls. Spam is for trolls.

 

Sense When is spam flamming ? If you want to flame someone there should be a flame forum. It is spam not call everyone that walks in there "faggot"

 

I think users being continually harassed may come under "giving Sythe bad rep" as the place where the staff don't give a damn about users being harassed. You know fine well, as I do, that in some cases it's beyond "trolling" or "making jokes", it is harassment. If a user wants posts or threads directed at them removed, they should be.

 

Fendle is an excellent contributor to this community and this is clearly a mistake caused by one sectional moderator leaving their allocated area and trying to run the rest of the forum in a similar way without even being familiar with norms or acceptable posting styles in that area, and thus making a mistake.

 

I don't see someone who runs around randomly calling people a faggot all the time for no reason to be a good contributor.

And, no staff member has been acting out of their position. sypherz dealt with the threads because I asked him to do so over Skype.

But yea, I think staff need to chill out and stop being mod score hungry. If you have to do that to get a score you clearly shouldn't be a mod.

 

Deleting threads gets you no mod score last time I checked. Infractions don't get much either. Again, sypherz didn't do it for modscore, he did it because I requested them to be deleted.

 

But they didn't even affect you, they was about I Don't Wannabemod. Last time I reported a thread in the Spam Section to see if staff were just bias they said the user affected has to report. It's like one rule for one person and another for the other.

Spam forum. Honestly, I don't even think mods should be pissed off if someone calls them a faggot there. You know why? It's a spam forum. You know how you could go about ignoring it? NOT LOOK AT IT. People say that the spam forum is an insignificant part of sythe. Good. I feel the same. Deleting a thread, or infractions someone, is in my opinion, not the right thing to do. If someone is being harassed outside the spam forums, then it would be a different matter. In my honest opinion, people shouldn't care, even if I went on there and made 20 topics tittled "____ is a faggot". Most people don't even visit the spam forum. You want to make a thousand topics, calling me a faggot. Go right ahead, and see if I care.

IMO, it is the spam forum. Everything that is said in there SHOULD be disregarded. But if it isn't, then i feel users should be able to request locks/thread deletion if they feel it is harassment, even though 100% of spam forum posts contain bullshit.

This isn't about being called a faggot a few times, it's continual harassment for particular users.

Using your argument, why be so butthurt over a deleted thread? It's the internet. DEAL WITH IT. The big deal is not being made by people requesting a deletion, it's the people who have a problem with that.

I have handled some Spam Reports which I am considering infracting for wasting staff time. You are both handling it very immaturely.
If either of you, call each other a faggot, or any other type of childish insult, I will infract you for it. No matter where it is posted. Both of you drop it.
