New Player Needing Some Info

I havn't played for to long, just now working on cruelty mode. How much % do I lose when I die on cruelty? and merciless? I'm not a fan of playing a game in groups, I like to keep it solo and dont chat much to other players either. I know I'll have to do parties on merciless, but I'm hoping I can atleast make it through cruel on solo. I have what seems to be a pretty good tank build, I didn't die once through the entirety for normal mode on this toon, and so far I've only been dying a maximum of 1 - 2 times on bosses only in cruelty mode. Is this to often to sufficiently solo?

 

Bosses are easily soloable - just make sure you top off enough resistances for each particular boss and you should be fine.
