Thoughts on possible Godwars.

to many people will quit but the game is getting old quick

 

I believe Jagex stated it won't implement GWD.

 

They should do this vote in 6 months, when everyone will already be bored from the oldschool pking and will craze over an update.
If they add godswords now, there would have been no non-gs pking in the first place.

 

I think BGS would be fine, as it was mostly for training. Bandos armour would make pvm too easy, and AGS would revive the OP pking that we saw so much of in 2011-2012.

 

I'd hate it, it'd be the start of the overpowered weapons :/

 

I think they should ask whether or not they want to add GWD in about a year from the release of 07' scape. If they ask now, it is obviously going to be a no.

 

I'll be voting against it, I want to go back to the days of whips being the best melee weapon

 

To begin, gwd IS 07 content, 2 weeks after the current 07 infact. As for a drastic loss of players, as of right now, no obviously not, but talk to me when you have been playing the same game for many months and even years with 0 new content, you probably wont feel the same way.

If you arent knowledgable on a topic, why post on it? Jagex has, repeatedly, in multiple places, their will be a vote on gwd, just like all of the other much debated content.


Listen, I LOVE the whip being top tier, I HATE gwd 1 item PKing, I detest EoC, I abhor most things post 07 just as you all do, but im looking ahead to the future and acknowledging the obvious. We will like new bosses down the line when KQ and KBD have lost their luster, you bet your left nut you will...

Honestly I loved PVM in the original 2007 all the way up to the release of EOC, but if godswords get voted back in it will be super unbalanced in the combat triangle, also where do these updates stop? Next there will be Divines an Elys then summoning then dragon claws an all of a sudden we are playing EOC again.

 

Godwars is the only one that has a chance to make it in, those will never get the 75% majority vote required.

 

If you read all of my OP more clearly you will see that I state that this is infact 2007 content. Myself personally, I could play this server in the state it is, for a LONG time. But, I'm one of those players who's content with where it is, and sees no need for big changes. This is a subject that can only be opinionated, and that alone. Please be open minded when posting on this thread, and read all previous posts.

No Need For GWD!

 

Me personally would like to see god swords but not now maybe in 6 months or so, the best update they could do is 07 scape with 2013 graphics and maybe turmoil with a magic and range one with it

 

I will definitely vote NO to implementing GWD, i am not for this, it will ruin pking imo.

However, if all GWD related items were banned from entering the wilderness, i would then vote yes, as i do love the godsword and bandos armour, dragon boots and saradomin sword, they mark the beginning of the willdy being ruined via over-powered weapons and gear, they are fine for general pvm in the game, but remain banned from pvp (in willdy).

 

When they first opened the servers, a JMod wrote that there would be no GE. I thought they mentioned GWD too, but after checking a transcript of the first Q&A it turns out that you're probably right. I still hope the community votes against it.

 

I personally would like to see GWD added into 2007, but the problem is that it won't pass the vote because many people like the simple ways of 2007 and overpowered godswords in the wild.

Godswords just turned the tide too easily, especially when it's used against pures.

I wanted GWD though, and I was hoping it was in the 07 server. Bossing there was fun, especially since you will need friends if you want to last (no unicorns or yaks). I'd love to be able to do GWD in the future in the 07 servers, but I'm not too sure about godswords.
