I am suggesting that we add a sticky in the 07 item section where pictures are required for the items now that it is starting to get bigger.

No support, it's very easy to fake and if you don't trust that the person has the items simply don't go first.

 

I also think that its a little pointless, pictures are kind of a hassle and they really only add very minimal security to a trade.

No support. I always hated putting up pictures to prove I had a particular item. Who posts threads without having the item and what good does faking an item do?

 

@ MMA how is that even logic are you saying that it can be faked when they have to put their names? Also so are you basically saying it shouldn't be in the runescape items as well? Because it is a requirement for EoC

 

You don't think a picture with their name can be photoshopped? Pictures don't prevent scams. If you don't trust the person use a middleman or don't trade with them. Requiring pictures has no befits just causes a hassle.

 

Support. It's common sense for a picture to be supplied. Not to mention it's always been a requirement. Why would you people not support?

 

Exactly this, They do not prevent scams, EVEN ME with my basic knowledge of Photoshop could easily edit a photo and say it was mine, it wouldn't even take 10 minutes, it's just an extra thing to do when trading when you already have your plate full with videoing the trade or whatever precautions you guys take, this wouldn't help in the least.

 

No, completely wrong. It has benefits. Someone could say they are selling such and such items, it could lead to pages and pages of offers/questions, causing un-needed spam, when in reality that item is non existent. Yes pictures can be faked, but ultimately having no picture/proof whatsoever is worse.

 

If people really wanted to do that wants stopping them from doing it with a gold thread. We don't require pictures for gold so why should we require it for items...

 

Gold is easier to acquire than items, also the fact gold is more common than items. Which would you believe more;

Support, if someone REALLY wanted to sell a high end item, legitimately, they would be willing to post pictures. This would weed out many potential scams.

it might not stop all scammers but it will stop the majority of them
