How to Sell BULK gp?

Hello Sythe,

I'm planning on selling a very large sum of RuneScape eoc gp soon, over 40 billion. I have never sold before, and I'm nervous about being banned before being able to sell it all.

My buyer will be buying it in small increments every 10-20 minutes which means there's a very long period of time during which Jagex can ban me before I sell it all.

How do people normally avoid getting banned while selling a lot of gp? Is it uncommon for Jagex to ban people during the trades? Or does it usually happen say... a week later?

Stake it to the other guy. Don't just trade it. I've never heard of someone getting banned instantly though.

 

I doubt staking is any better than trading. Staking has been dead for some time now, and people do unbalanced trades all the time with gambling. I imagine Jagex catches on based on ip adresses or something. I don't know. I'm a 100% newby. :/

 

I've heard of people being banned instantly, I think it depends on a number of factors. One tip would be to add the buyer to your friends list immediately (on rs) and then wait as long as possible for trading, it helps. You could also pretend to be playing a gambling game or something.

 

Go to world 1/2 dicing spot, pretend to play some flowers and stuff.

also adding them onto list will help alot too

 

Why have the intervals between?

 

He sells it before buying more, I assume to reduce his risk of being banned with it all.

 

Maybe you should try to buy expensive items such as party hats and trade it to the buyer rather than selling it all with pure cash.

Mhm, that's just risky what your buyer is doing. Tell him to either buy huge amounts or just sell to someone else.

That would do fuck all, this guy is playing with fire and he could just get his fingers burned by doing loads of trades.

 

If your buyer is Chinese (the 10-20 minutes thing is what they do) DON'T do it. You WILL get all your GP/items deleted from your account.

My advice: take it slow. Train up some other member accounts and transfer it on to those(maybe 3-5b per account). Don't try to buy accounts- make then yourself. Sell off all 3-5b at a time to a buyer who's fluent in English.

Yes, my buyer is from China. And he is a well known one. All of them I've talked to do the 10-20 minute thing.

I don't know where else I can sell quickly. PA takes days, and as far as I know that gives a higher risk of getting banned than doing it in say 10 hours with a China buyer.

Nick, I'm selling my entire bank to him. I don't care if I get banned after I'm done selling. I just don't want to get banned while selling. :S

I'm surprised everyone here is telling me to sell it in large amounts all at once. That's what I want to do, but I have yet to come across any buyer willing to do that. (Including buyers from Sythe like R2Pleasent)

 

Well China IP's are always being reset, just do what Nick said train up some mules and transfer and let me lay low for a while. Just curious, what method and per million was you even selling at. If it is low enough and you out price everyone on PA you will get sales by dozens if you are the cheapest on PA.

I've considered PA. Prices are so eratic on there. I would love to wait for prices to go up on PA then dump low. It's just...

Gambling is being nerfed very soon, and I'm afraid the market will tank after that. There's no way to verify this, but I believe most of the buyers for gp are gamblers (as well as most of the sellers). This could create a pretty dead market.

Nerfing gambling = less unbalanced trade = much easier to spot RWT. So... That's why I want to sell now before it becomes nearly impossible.

Is there a guide for bulk selling somewhere here on Sythe? I've been looking around for one. Everything gets so difficult when you have bulk. :/

 

I'm a host of a certain dicing clan, so I can offer a bit of insight. Gambling will still occur after the "nerf" much like it did when they nerfed dice. I wouldn't be too concerned about that. A lot of unbalanced trades are occurring to convert 07 >>> EOC gold as well.

You asked for some of the Dos and don'ts and some basic practices good sellers should use:

1. Actively play the game on the account you're trading with(the Chinese don't)
2. Never interact with F2P
3. It's better to slowly sell RSGP at a lower price than have it deleted after the first 5b. Greed gets the better of people all the time. So many people try to get a few more cents and they end up getting scammed or banned.
4. Still try to split up the gold among other accounts.
5. Understand the reason the Chinese want you to wait 10-20 minutes is because they usually sell off the RSGP you give them. They don't really take any risk when you'll lose the rest of the stock.

My experience with the Chinese is similar to almost all of the hosts I've talked to. I was in the process of selling 5b, traded the first 1b, and then Jagex logs my account out. They reset the stats and deleted the RSGP/items. I believe that any major seller/buyer can testify here that the Chinese are full of problems and linked to most of them.

The average buyer who gets 100M from them is fine (Jagex doesn't bother with small amounts), but larger sellers/buyers get screwed.

I assume it's best to sell through Player Auctions then?
