I've kind if felt the same way.

 

It's done wayyy too much for me in a bad way.

No one should suffer what I have lost and all the time I wasted.

 

All they need to do is allow gambling in the burthorpe games room. Maybe add a coin toss game for the tards that can't figure out connect 4.

 

gambling can ruin the economy and make people quit so why bring that to rs07? eoc is already ruined so i hoped they take flowers away.

the simple solution would be that people just stop playing it...

Because face it: people will always find ways to gamble. I would prefer it to be truly honestly 50/50 though rather than hosts taking massive cuts over time.

i have lost over 3B gambling with a well known FC the only thing that sucks is people who payed for ranks and didn't win there gold back.

They can't stop it because of even/odd and IRC dicing. They would have to re-implement the trade limit and ruin the games playerbase again.

 

I am actually looking forward to seeing how the new Jagex gambling system will be like. Do hope it turns out well enough for players to abandon IRC/seals.

 

Imo ... it will, just because it might be a new gambling method/high risk like the duel arena, and arena is pretty much 50/50 (or more odds in ur favor with pid) which imo would attract more people to that than friend chats/ircs

 

I asked a mod yesterday if gambling is legal.. He said yes..

 

they also said gambling would be ban-able in 07, yet ppl still playing flower picking.

 

I never played any kind of these flower games, but If JaGex comes with their version of gambling, maybe I'll just try my luck few times, as nobody in the end can run away with my money if I win.

...Except my failed luck lol.

 

Irc gambling will still always be used.
Even if Jagex input something where you can literally just give it money and press spin and 50/50 chance you double or lose your money.
1,073,741,823 would be the highest amount a player could bet so that the pot was under max cash.
Having a 1b max bet is not very high for what many people like to bet now days and those people who double each loss will hit that 1b mark very fast.

 

I hope they get rid of gambling. I think gold prices will increase if they do so.

He does have a point unless its like a duel arena system where players are free to input whatever items they want to bet. That would allow players to bet above max cash easily.

 

Gambling will never die! So long as it lives in every heart of those courageous gamblers! I support the gambling, it's the peoples money, let them use it.

 

That'd be fine with me, I won't go out my way into a gambling chat, but when people were just stood there doing hot and cold, i'd just go do stupid things such as THIS with my bank
