RS07 with RS2 graphics & Interface? What do you think?

Bringing back 07 was to bring back oldschool RS, not to replace the main game. What you're suggesting literally defeats the purpose of what Jagex did.

EDIT: And don't even talk about graphics until Jagex puts a highlight on RSC again. THAT was my oldschool and I'm still pissed they fucked with it.

Me too. The new graphics aren't all that good and they aren't effective. They've added too much to make them look good.

 

keep the graphics the same. however - i would love to see some features that are in eoc to be in RS07.

for instance: resting, make: ALL (fletching etc), clan setup etc. i'm sure that the polls they'll be doing next week will be what the community most wants.

Well, dungeoneering is a BIG NO, graphics, I'd like them to do something about 1080p screen support as literally, the RS screen takes only 1/4th of the screen and there's no way to make it larger. They could implement the graphics update and make it optional to use imho. The user interface could also benefit from what they've done in EOC, as in general the UI in EOC has some good tricks that could benefit the game including the chat functionality, clan chat functionality, filtering of the game messages, make-x, bank functionality and whatnot.

Also I'd like to state that RS07 will get a dev team, and that dev team will let us choose the updates, therefore my biggest concern is that most of the fuckheads playing now are against ANY updates, which is just bullshit as the game should improve. I'm against many updates, but there were GOOD updates as well which did improve the game play.

Man, talk about defeating a purpose. It's like asking for a cheeseburger with no meat or cheese. If you want a graphics upgrade and dung go to eocscape, its not going anywhere.

 

I could go for full screen or something, but fuck dungeoneering, it was a piece of shit.

 

Add the EOC graphics.
Add the GE.

Can't believe there is an actual topic about changing 07 Runescape graphics...=/ You know my answer. If you want the overmade, un-Runescape like graphics, go to EoC.

 

Hmm that's actually a pretty good adjective for EoC..."Overmade". They truly did overcomplicate and fluff everything up, it was so nice to have a game that was basic and straightforward before.

 

We should be able to change the resolution in RS07. Maybe even anti aliasing. It hurts my eyes staring at this small ass window on a 23" 1920x1080 ips monitor. It's almost comical playing this game on this monitor + 2 other 1680x1050 monitors. I would be against changing the animations or graphical detail of the game though. Yes, I'm a nostalgiafag. I would think that we all are.

No dunge though. Fuck that. Not even GWD. The content of RS07 is perfect imo.
