Why are you so butt hurt over spam forum posts? The only reason people are such downers to each other is because its been promoted for so long by both staff and members.

Why do you get so butt hurt when it is directed at you or staff? Like I said in my dispute if you bold, increase the size, and underline the trolling a moderator rule you will see a bigger difference in how people post when its about staff, fine print was invented to be ignored.

But seriously - your reputation can pretty easily take a back seat when you go on an inactivity spree - without affecting the site too much. Sure people complain but that doesn't matter too much.

Either way half of what you say can be solved with relatively accessible facts.
Regarding SytheMMO - I honestly see where people are coming from when they say that. In a way it makes more sense to say that you knew that creating an MMO is a financial and technical catastrophe that barely pulls through but decided to milk the idea for donations than it is to say that you were not aware of the technical implications of the project and only really understood it halfway through.

As far as accusations regarding money - that's literally not an accusation. You can go to Tim Cook and say "You make tons of money off this corporation and don't share it with anyone.", but it's his right to make tons of money and not share it with anyone. There is literally no point to what is being said, you shouldn't be taking offense at all. However, if you wanted to stop that, you might want to make some accessible form of earnings report for some month so people wouldn't be going off rather blind guesses if/when they try to figure out how much the site earns.

Accusations about the staff - Read them again, most of the time they are, to put it bluntly, about Corey. The staff on the whole is quite good, but some people feel that Corey is the next Finn, and so they whine rather loudly. I don't see any real issues, but you have to convince the people otherwise or stop caring about their input on the topic.

Being attacked for banning someone who is attacking you: Completely justified.
As much as this is your own site, users will attempt to hold all parties to some form of moral code, which generally dictates that you shouldn't ban someone that you don't like for the simple reason of not liking them. You're at rights to do so, but nobody will appreciate it, and it acts as a deterrent for potential members who might fear losing their investment of time and effort for the sole reason of having some criticism about you. Instead you should deal with this situation with something more along the lines of a counterargument or a warning, and if that doesn't work, maybe an infraction.
Outright getting rid of someone for an attitude or sentiment you don't like is a dangerous move and will do more harm than good. Prohibiting people from judging your response to judgement of some form or another is ten times the deterrent a single ban might cause.

 

How is Corey Finn like? I think he does what he does very well.

 

I know quite a few people hate on Corey but he is actually a pretty good moderator ;p

Edit: To be serious for a sec, I'd like to say the people who enjoy the site and benefit from this site far outweigh the people who are here to grief it. If you don't like someone or think they're not valuable to -your- community, ban them. I'd much rather you go on a banning rampage than close the site and ruin it for all of us who enjoy it and do no harm.

Apparently moderators aren't allowed to do their job around here. Ignoring the users that complain would be the best way to avoid these situations. I personally like all of them besides some inactive sectionals but I'm sure they will increase their activity eventually.

 

Idk why this is in the spam forum, I feel like it should be in community or something...Anyway, if you feel the need to eliminate the site, it'd be wiser to pass down temporary responsibilities to someone like Govind, then return when you're in better spirits, which mods do all the time (take breaks that is). I feel that if you were to trash the forum, you'd regret it later; best to take that rage and funnel it elsewhere instead of into one of your creations.
