There is a loophole in jagex' system, and this can prevent you from 07scape rollbacks. Trading 07gp for EoC RSGP isn't against their rules, it's treated as a trust trade, and they stated it's allowed to get the economy flowing. Maybe it's a way to make trading a bit safer as the buyer is GUARANTEED to be protected from rollbacks as the seller can just advertise in the GE that he does it.

You mean we say we traded EOC gp for 07 gp to stop rollbacks?

 

He means make a sticky telling people that it's okay to trade EOC>07 and you wont get rolled back/banned, I think.

Okay so they don't condone it, but they don't condemn it either. The sticky would have to be worded carefully. I feel it's worthy of a sticky.

Of course trades like this won't happen for a while due to the unstable nature of 07 scape GP and the imminent decline of RSGP but that's beside the point.

If jagex rolls back your cash stack, send them a message saying 'Yo dude wtf you doing, I was just doing a trust trade for some *insert game type here (07/EOC)* gee pees. Why yo roll me back manz?' and they should give you your money back. Or you shouldn't even have any problems seeing it isnt against their rules to trust trade.

Once wiped, Jagex will never give it back, even if they made a mistake, and that's why they insist it isn't a mistake.

Still doesn't stop one from being wiped for RWTing in EoC. Trade with a market giant, it would like a 1 way transaction too. So there is still a risk.

 

I agree somewhat with Jack here. Their answer is vague at best. I think if there is a sticky I don't think it should say anything about promising no rollbacks because that is foolish. I would write the sticky by quoting the article and making it clear that their current response is that 'they can't stop it'. They may not be able to stop it but that doesn't mean they won't suddenly change their minds and start rolling back when Old School to EoC scams start happening often.

I support a sticky, but I wouldn't make any promises about potential repercussions because we all know how Jagex is about being wishy-washy about this kind of stuff.

They WILL suddenly change their minds in a month or two and ban it outright, that answer is really only there because nobody bothered to think and so as soon as people start complaining about scams it's going to be made against the rules.

Thing is, even with them stating this, Jagex is literally 150% unpredictable with rollbacks, there's absolutely no way to tell if Jagex will or will not roll your account back. Posting this might give people a false idea that they're going to be safe from charge-backs which realistically isn't true.

 

If you're selling/buying gold, regardless of methodology, Jagex will ban you/reset you. Take it from someone who's taken a hit more than just a couple of times. Denied only because there's no way to 100% combat rollbacks. Sorry Jack, but thanks for the idea <3.
