Definitely not, the GE ruined merching which was one of my favourite RS activities.

 

I'd definitely vote no. If someone wants to play with the Grand Exchange in the game, they can play the 2k13 RS. On the day of release, it took me at least 30 minutes to get an iron scimitar and about 45 minutes to get a steel scimitar in Al-K. Although the GE was introduced in 2007, people long for no GE and the 2k7 servers provide that (as of now). It was a major change in the game and community and without the GE, it feels like a different game in a sense.

 

GE created merchanting on a larger scale.

 

No and I find it stupid if it does happen for the following reasons.

-GE ruined the game

-this way makes it a lot harder for bots to get their stuff sold and people have to be more social both of which help the quality of the game.

-just because it was 07 material doesn't mean that it has to be put in the game they said they would revert back to this not that it would have every little detail from 07.

all in all people really need to quit bitching they got what they want and should be happy.

I would vote no as well, if they start making changes to the game like this it's going to turn right back into the RS we have now.

 

10000% against a GE. That would ruin one of the main purposes of the old runescape being brought back.

No, as it would ruin 2007scape. It'd kill it. The economy would get trashed, and it'd make the game too easy to play.

 

I'm not going to sit here and tell you the G.E. wasn't convenient as hell, it would be a lie it was very nice to buy the randomest shit for quests and stuff at the click of my mouse. Also on the flipside, getting every last coin from my useless junk was also nice, BUT

The G.E. brings too many issues for me to vote it back in. It completely removes the reliance of player-player interactions, and that's bad. Although I won't say it was super fun to sit in a bank trying to sell something, it was necessary for players to rely on other players, to control prices in a true supply and demand nature, where not only supply and demand but TIME is factored in to the price. This keeps the price truer and the market more dynamic.

Also, with people worrying about every last coin, I feel that the G.E. was just another update that started the transformation of the RS community into the moneyhungry beast that it is today. Along with the removal of wilderness, the only way to show your dominance over other players was to have more wealth than them. It became a money fight, a skillcape fight, etc.......and it changed the community forever.

Players were only worried about acquiring as much wealth as they could and holding on to every last coin with a death grip. I won't attribute this all to the G.E. but it was certainly a determining factor in this change and I'd rather type my fingers to the bone to sell 3 kebabs, a bronze necklace, and 17 tiara molds than to see the G.E. added to the game again.

 

Not a chance in hell. I'd probably quit '07scape if they brought in the GE.

 

If the added this is I would finally wipe my hands with RuneScape for good.

I will vote No if they ever bring up the poll. Like many have said it ruins the interaction between players and also makes it too easy to get items. Let good old runescape stay that way.

Would honestly make skills easier to get like cooking. IMO all buyables were certainly respectable before GE, and GE made it way too easy to get supplies. I also agree with merchanting. Mechanting without the GE was definitely enjoyable. With the GE you'll get merching clans started again, and an easy outlet for chinese gold farmers dumping their stuff, messing with the economy.

The GE also ruined other social aspects besides interactive trading... A lot of people at the GE are plain douchebags, show-offs, gamblers, and selfish bitches. I've yet to see most of that in 07 for the most part.

I've also seen discussions about polls for removing the filter... No. That was way past 07 and would definitely make the game less enjoyable...
