Would you vote for GE?

Apparently there's talk of a poll for the return of the GE, since it was introduced in August of 2007, and is therefore technically 2007 material.

My question is, if the poll were presented, how would you vote?

no merch was so much fun before the GE came in my opinion. I don't know why I just liked it.

 

Noooooo. I definitely won't be voting in favor of bringing the GE back. It takes away a huge aspect to the game; Merchanting.

 

One would not simply bring up this as a question.

 

Part of the reason why I stopped playing was because of the GE, things became too easy and there was a huge lack of interactivity. If I play an online game I want to interact with people, not a gay-ass auction house.

GE came out after the removal of wildy pking and free trade, so around december 2007-jan 2008 I believe? Definitely not during August. And no the GE was shit, took the player interaction out of the game.

 

takes out the social aspect of the game and just makes it to easy to get items.

On topic, I said no as well, Runescape was never the same after the release of the Grand Exchange. It turned the economy into a melting pot of shit, destroying all originality in how users conducted their business, stagnating all prices permanently.

I would most definitely vote No. GE takes away a huge social aspect from the game. Whenever I go spam "buying x" in a bank, i always get ppl who are willing to help. This was also the case when i played back in 04-07.

With GE in place, every1 ignores u cus its all buyable from the GE. They don't expect your help, so they dont give any either.

 

I would be completely against it and I can't imagine many people who would be for it.

No. I think it ruins the game. It makes stuff much too easy to get. If you want to buy some stuff you should have to at least work for it a bit. It's bullshit if I can just get some random thing in 5 seconds for 10 gp through the GE when it would take me a lot longer to find it otherwise.

 

As much as I miss using it when I'm feeling lazy, I wouldn't vote for it back.

All.valid reasons i keep gettin into debates with 2k12 kids on oldschool at catherby whining about no ge and trying to tell me that it wont cause inflation and no sense of community all thu care about is hitting 99. Yeah i wanna hit 99 too but not first and certainly. Not last because a wizard is never late nor is he ever early. Ive also taken to reporting gAmblers so hoPefully jagex will make a rule against it.

 

GE sucks, thats all there is to it
