Include e-whoring as a bannable offense.

I agree it should be punishable to some extent only because its obnoxious (not really a legitimate reason). Unless the person is openly seeking money in exchange for going on webcam or something, pretending to be the opposite gender is pretty harmless. I don't see the need to idiot-proof the site because if you fall for e-whoring you only have yourself (penis) to blame.

Offering to cam on the forums should be forbidden I don't care who you are, but pretending you're a gender when you're not? Who cares.

While I don't think that this offense is exactly a ban-able one, unless you have proof that the users are accepting money (ie: screenshots of them physically accepting money)... It's still a very grey area.

I can understand where you're coming from that it's a very deceptive scheme, unless you get valid proof of them actually accepting money it's not ban-able. I mean the only thing that I could relate this to is... well I guess the luring debate that has went on for ~2 weeks in the support center.

If someone adds them and asks, then it's fair game. If they ask someone on Sythe or bait someone on Sythe, then it's highly frowned upon (if not bannable).

(And yes, some people feel more comfortable in the "female" gender as Syed stated.)

It should be bannable if they ask for ANY form of compensation. Regardless of whether they receive it or not they are trying to get money under false pretenses and deceit. It's quite simply an attempted scam.

As I have said earlier IDGAF if someone wants to pretend they are a girl online but as soon as they are pulling that shit trying to get status, money, ect unfairly by deceit. It's an attempted scam, and attempted scams are just as ban worthy in other cases as actual scams. I see no need to apply a double standard to e-whoring on the matter.

I have not suggested anything to "idiot proof" the site, dumb people are going to fall for whatever scams there are unavoidably. I am only asking for some clarification/additions to the rules making these types of scams clearly bannable.
