Jagex Will Hold A Vote On 2007 Servers

does anybody actually think this will work out? the entire community is shit, nobody is going to want to start from scratch, all the easy money making methods are gone, the G/E that you all know and love won't be there. Yeah, it sounds cool, but it doesn't matter if you were there in 2007 or not, you're not going to be able to survive.

 

I dont agree with you when RS first started everyone started with the same thing and look how it grew.

 

Can't wait. Bit bummed about there not being GE, just for laziness reasons.

yeah, and its grown far past the days of 2007. just throwing an old server up won't make everybody revert back to their old ways.

A fresh start seems like it will be strange to say the least lol. I don't know if i'll come back. Maybe over the summer if I have time.

 

I have been waiting for them to finally realize that they to do this Definitely excited!

 

Why won't anyone be able to survive? If you really wanted you could play RS and be completely self sufficient.

Right now I play 2006remake private servers with power-hungry admins, constant hacking, no bot detection, downtime, rollbacks and a reasonably small playerbase (compared to what the Jagex servers will have) and I still enjoy the fuck out of it.

I would play this game with just me and a couple of friends and make it fun.

 

I think the majority of the current player-base is made of people who started in atleast 08 and the great memories they had included trade restriction, the G.E. and Bounty Hunter. It was honestly a downer for me today to see so much negative feedback towards these old school servers.

It's just selfish of them to act like that, Mark even said it himself "we'll still concentrate on Eoc even though we bring back 2007 servers".
So pretty much they're just haters.

I presume i'll be able to get my holiday items back (if not i'll be mad)

If I wasn't starting fresh and kept the 07 bank i'd have like 30 phats

it still won't be the same... players that play this version will be veterans and people that have been around for a long time. There won't be anymore lv.3 pking (using gold dropped from mains) and stuff that made rs so great back in the days...

I think a fresh start will be better, I will make a hybrid pure to start and then turn it into a Zerker!

 

If they brought this out before the EoC I don't think it would have been all that popular. I liked rs as it was before the EoC personally. So if a 2007scape came out then I wouldn't have played it and had to start from scratch.

Considering how much I don't like the play style in the EoC, i'm considering playing the 2007 server. So honestly I think a lot of people will be happy to start from scratch.
And a shit ton of 1 def pures, just for fun, even if people like the EoC, I think people will make old school pures.
