Hey Sythe community, I'm participating in "Dance Marathon" with my university and I'm reaching out to you for donations. For those unfamiliar with the concept, Dance Marathon is an organization that raises money for a charity or other cause, by having its members collect donations/fundraise and pledge to dance continuously for 30 hours (more or less depending on the organization). This year, the charity we are supporting is the Danny Did Foundation, which seeks to reduce deaths by epileptic seizure. I had an aunt die from an epileptic seizure, so this organization is especially significant to me.

Ultimately my goal is to raise $400 (1.6b). However, I will continue accepting donations even if they go beyond that amount. 100% of your donation will go toward the Danny Did Foundation, this is not for my use and I certainly won't be using your money to buy myself new clothing and a mac (unlike a certain former admin).

I'm able to accept paypal donations from most users, however due to chargeback/dispute risks I cannot accept paypal from everyone. GP donations however are open to anyone.

Tonight I'll be happy to donate towards this, as I've been doing a lot of studying about epileptics recently, and I've found out that the surgery of the corpus callosum is extremely expensive. I'll donate 40M today, and if I get another rush of stock I'll throw some more into the pot.

At least you donated. I'll try to see if I can get my hands on a little more to add my current donation. It's a good cause, and it's not one that many people think about when considering a charity, so I'm happy to support it in my small way.

 

Bump, come on, donate everyone! It's for a great cause, many of my friends have family members who have passed away due to epilepsy. Plus, if the cause isn't enough, Video is kind enough to throw in a bunch of other really cool benefits I've personally already donated $200, but who knows, I might donate some more soon!
