Restriction to view things

What would be interesting is to have some sort of verifiable vouch system then base visibility of threads on that.

However, not sure if someone's mentioned it yet, Sythe rather likes that each thread is searchable on search engines. With finicky rules about visibility, the amount of search results will be lessened and so hence fewer ad clicks/views and potentially fewer member registrations.

This suggestion cannot happen in any way, shape, or form based on how the site relies on searches.

 

I think it'd be alot better if you had to be registered to view all threads. Would help prevent scamming .

No support, anybody with a brain can avoid a scam, you just have to use it.
Don't waste time on people who are being slow etc. Lay the offer on the table, a take it or leave it situation.

 

Not going to happen, we are a market. So you also think that we should make people have higher pc to also make them be able to PM too?

 

I think it's a good idea but it could potentially ruin the market if everyone put huge tags on their sales. Because of this risk I could not support.

 

What do PM's have anything to do with this? It's just for those people who don't want newcomers/unregistered people seeing their Skype and adding them. For the people who would want to trade with members who have been here longer and have spent more time on Sythe.

 

No support, I think that even if the seller wishes to only trade with trusted individuals, everybody in the market should be able to see the trades that are taking place, even if its to simply get a feel for the prices involved. If nobody knew the prices of xbox gamertags that were being traded, there is a much higher likelihood of somebody unknowingly paying a much higher price than what an xbox gamertag is worth, or a seller selling a gamertag unwittingly for a price way under its value.

EDIT: As for the skype issue, unless you're a major RSGP seller, most people won't just randomly add your skype. I've got mine linked to my account so that the public can view it and I haven't gotten any random requests.

Yeah, and then the seller/buyer would then have the option to provide that person with their Skype. If it was displayed on their thread publicly to everyone they would have no choice in who would see their contact details.

 

Post count restrictions are not a good idea. In practice, what happens is users will spam posts to reach the restriction. Never happening, sorry.
