Staff only visisble tag

I just had an idea... which is weird but I think it can be useful mostly in scam reports, disputes, etc.

It's the tag [STAFF]{content}[/STAFF] Which would make the content only visible to staff.

It'd be really useful, specially with private content.

Opinions?

 

I feel like this is a good idea, but it'd take too much time, could be unnecessarily exploited, or be too strenuous to implement. Topics in SL suffice I'd say.

But yea. Good idea; I just don't see this being an easy thing to incorporate.

 

If easily incorporated, this would actually be a fantastic idea.

 

Would have to be implemented the same way as spoiler tags. Generally that follows with exploit possibilities.

Obviously if you can hide links to unregistered users then you can hide links to non-staff as it all depends on usergroups.

 

This just the hide hack (Showtogroup and then the IDs).

Unfortunately most mobile styles (and Tapatalk) are able to get around the hide hack.

 

Sounds easy to implement... just install a plugin (or write one up).. I have no opinion on this, though. Even if it isn't, there's always the option to PM =p.

Also, allowing it in the Spam Forum would be great -evil laugh-

I suppose. There is still the mobile style and those don't support the Hide Hack 100% of the time.

It would certainly be helpful if we can be sure there's no way for a normal user to see what's inside [staff] tags. As what Sythe said, "spoiler"/"hide" tags can often be circumvented with cache systems or even google's "way back" machine

 

Instead of working a way to block it from X groups, implement it in the way that only staff gets it loaded. This would have to be server side, but can be done.
