I feel i am a target

I have been offering 2 things, account name and a good account. I have had 2 offers for the account and, i am suspicious . I have decided as i am new to sythe i will do trades on PA. The first person pmed me, and when i said i didn't have skype as it crashed my computer, and i would be using PA as i have seen riceman or some name like that scam as much as he did, on PA i know how to get money back. I am not criticising sythe, i am new to it . The second offer asked virtually the same thing, and i replied back the same thing. Except the account had 11 posts. I went on his profile and he had made the account yesterday when he offered me. I feel i am a target>_< can someone help!?

 

Only go forward with a trade if you feel comfortable. If the people who've contacted you don't seem trustworthy then you don't have to trade.

This is what I've understood from your post, that people are offering to buy your account and you don't trust them not to scam? Let me know if I'm wrong.

 

Try using a free MM and watch out for scammers. Set requirements for trading that fit in your comfort range.

 

You have to find a balance between price and trust. The more trusted a user is --> the lower the price. The less trusted a user is --> the more the price is.

Try lowering your price and some active sythe users may buy it from you.

 

Just practice safe trading, your on the right track as is (being cautious enough to ask around and try to use PA ect). If something seems to good to be true it is, go with your gut on these things. Trading on site isnt as dangerous as you may think if you use reputable MM's or OMM's (for a reputable free MM i suggest Jack Goff ). It will be hard to sell an account (for anywhere near what its worth) with little to no vouches and being as new as you are, so i would suggest selling though PA on that atleast or holding off until you have a better reputation ect, although if it didnt have JAG activated and passed a recovery test by an OMM im PRETTY sure it would be safe to buy/sell (jag has changed account sales quite a bit, so im not entirely sure).

If you post a bit more on site and familiarize yourself a bit more so on forums i feel you will be less of a target for potential scammers, I too was targeted during the first couple weeks of me joining. Unfortunately i fell victim to being charged back on a upgrade, your on the right track just be careful

 

Please know that people can charge back with PayPal.

 

Best thing i can suggest, is to use a middle man for every trade until you start gaining trust unless the other person is highly trusted, Always request a PM to make them verify themselves including there MSN/Skype. Avoid using paypal as people can charge back easily. Hope this helps pal.

 

Also if you have the feeling that the other guy is trying to "force" you into prooving that you can be trusted, don't bother continuing, it's one of the things they do to get you to pay first.

Yeah I see you mention your post-count. Dont spam just to raise it, otherwise you will end up getting banned. Poeple report almost everything

 

Use MM and for high account trades use OMM which they most likey will notbdo anymore because of the high scaming amounts, but when doing PA try and look for accounts that have warranties and are PA verified. When trading be firm with your requirments most scamers will bail if they see that. Well GL learn from experience.

 

Use an MM, Do the trade in increments if it's possible, have users PM you instead of advertising your Skype/MSN everywhere, ask for a PM before trading, read the rules and the how to avoid being scammed stickies, never take paypal unless it's from someone with a lot of vouches(or any reversable payment), don't hand your stuff over to someone you doubt. Basically follow all this and you'll avoid getting scammed 99% of the time

If you're worried about a trader/person, just stay away from them. That's your safest bet. You're not being personally targeted, just use a Middleman and trade safely .
