If you could go back to highschool what would you have done differently?

I finished school in 2011. I have asked this myself several times before seeing this thread, I would have told myself to study more and stop being so lazy, I never failed an year but I wasn't of the best students.

Right now I am in college, I finally understood how important is studying and I am doing great with grades.

I saw some replies of some guys who dropped out of school, I am glad most of them realized how important is school, I used to be the kind of person who was like "I hate thie shit school", "Its useless" but then you will end up realizing how important school is when you introduce yourself into the working market

 

I never studied once in my entire time in high school. I had a terrible philosophy that the teachers should only test us on what they taught us in class, and if we had to study then they did a shitty job. I never failed a single class, but I also never did very hot.

Now that I'm in university I realized how easy it would have been to achieve perfect marks if I had only studied for even a little amount of time.

Luckily though my marks in high school were good enough to get me a scholarship, but I really lucked out, could have been a lot worse.

 

I'm in the process of fixing where i messed up ! Getting "back on track"!

Starting next week with a lot more motivation than i had in the past.

 

Definitely would have done homework on a consistent basis/studied more. I did a lot of activities after school, and by the time I got home I would be too tired to do anything.

 

I would've taken Chemistry, Physic and Science Math. Because I didn't take them then (I didn't know I needed them but I didn't check either), I spent an additional year trying to do them for admission to my desired program. Doing well in the courses too would have been what I would do, it would've saved me so much time.

 

I would have studied and actually care about my grades. College has made me realize if I just study and put time, I can make A's and B's so easily. For example, I failed Biology and it is the only class I did fail. I took AP Science Major Biology in the first part of Summer that was an express 5 week class with an exam every week. It also had an extra class of a lab with two huge exams. From both classes added up, I passed with an 86. 8 freaking 6! Never thought it was possible. Not only that, but I had the second highest grade as well. I put in 40 - 50 hours a week for school and did a lot of studying. I was more at school than in my own home during those 5 weeks.

I hanged out with the stoner and skater crowd in high school and really didn't put a lot of effort into it. I would usually just let someone do the homework for me. Ah well, no regrets had my fun and now it is just school without the fun and that is okay. I enjoy learning now and just want to be as educated as possible. Gone a long way from getting into trouble and just being a stupid teenager.

Also, actually have gone to prom.

 

Extra curricular activities. I still got into a good college but would've made things a lot easier.

 

just because i Focused on girls more than i did my studies, and football, now i am dropped out. Currently looking for an alternative School at the moment was thinking on doing online school, but heard it was Really Challenging.
so i would of fixed not being such a dumb fuck.

cause i am really regretting it now but hey it's a lesson learned!

 

Put more effort into this girl I was seeing. Most of the time I ignored her big time. Saw her recently and she turned out more then alright....Ohwell I can say that it's my own fault, but I defenitly would change that!

 

I wouldnt of picked up hard drugs and paid a little more attention in class.

I skated through highschool due to the fact that I was a good tester and bullshitter. Didn't make particularly good grades but "got by". Had I applied myself a little I probably could of gotten some scholarships or atleast help furthering my education. Now I'm 25 trying to put myself through school and work a full time job living on my own and its pretty difficult. I started using cocaine at 16, heroin at 17.. that had me pretty fucked up for a few years. So yeah, I wouldn't do that again.

I barely went in, to be honest. Lucky I wasn't kicked out. I passed all subjects, although I knew if I was in I would of got amazing grades.

Never have been one for education systems, learnt more from online forums, regarding my English - grammar/punctuation, more general knowledge, learnt more about culture, different peoples mentality, different viewpoints and opinions, just from what is online.

In University now, studying a law degree, which I care more for, even though it'll be even harder and most likely end with no job, especially living in London.

If I could go back, I would have gone to school more, a lot more.
No other issues.

 

I just graduated but I was pretty social in high school. I just would've tried harder in my classes, I just kinda set a low goal for myself in classes and I'd achieve them with ease, and then just kinda bullshit but made sure my marks didn't go lower. Also would've taken the classes I should have taken for college, I'm still getting accepted to the colleges I want to go to and for what I want to go for but just being able to go into those courses more knowledgeable would've been nice.

 

I would have avoided Dragon Dyce and all RS gambling like the plague. Monetary losses aside, it just took up way too much of my time Junior Year, and because of that, I got lots of Bs and B+s instead of As or A-s.

Overall though, I'm still very happy with the school I'm attending.

 

I'm on my last year in high school so by looking back I'd probably take my school work more seriously. Another big one would have been to start hitting the gym at an earlier age so I could have an amazing looking body while I'm still in school but its a bit too late for that now lol

 

I'd actually study (relied on natural intelligence and as a result passed but could have got way better grades without a whole lot more effort). I'd also involve myself more in sports and what-not as I didn't really do much of that at all past primary school.

 

Lost weight earlier, joined extracurricular activities freshmen year, and be more careful about what I say to certain people. Overall I did fantastically, but it could have been better.

 

I wouldn't do anything differently. I had great friends, I enjoyed the clubs I was in. I was in honors classes, and I had a strong GPA.

I didn't like being treated like a child by teachers though, or the amount of time that was wasted in classes. So I stayed enrolled in a home study program to take classes at the local college. The highschool actually had some kind of agreement that meant my classes were paid for. I found them more difficult and enjoyable, also you get 3x the regular credit. Because of that I graduated way early, and after another semester I'll transfer schools and finish up my degree.

 

I would have given the people I currently know much less attention. Rather be a quite person actually.

 

I'm starting my last year of HS. I'm pretty satisfied with how everything is going, but if I had an opportunity to start over, I would of tried to get a higher GPA.

 

Finish highschool first time around and be more active in clubs.
