Personally. this whole pot thing is dumb. Hemp was illegalized due to it being a better substitute for paper/cotton, cant remember which, but anyway the person behind the paper/cotton (whichever) had more money than the person behind hemp. But hemp would put him out of business, so what did he do with his mighty cash flow and connections? he got hemp illegalized. What is the little sister of hemp? Marijuana. So naturally, it became illegal to. It's not illegal because its a drug. It's been proven to be safer than cigarettes and alcohol.

The way I see it, its either just a certain amount of time before hemp/pot is 100% legal just as it is in Amsterdam everywhere here in the USA. Which I highly support. The current laws on marijuana are 100% dumb. I'll share a story with you.


I know a man who raped a woman, the only time he spent in jail was waiting for his court date. His punishment was nothing except putting his name on a sex offenders list. THATS IT!

I got caught with a HALF OF A GRAM of pot in a grinder. I got charged with possesion of marijuana, possession of paraphernalia and trespassing (because we were at the lake after hours). My bail was over 700 dollars. I got a hefty fine of over 700 dollars. (250 for paraphernalia, 400 sumthing for the possession and 75 for trespassing). With current laws in missouri, it is legally better to RAPE someone than have about a bowl of pot on you.

That's complete bullsh**. I don't understand situations like that where a person pretty much gets a slap on the wrist for rape or even murder (2nd degree) yet possesion of something so small gets you into bigger trouble.

As for the living in canada/US.
I think canada is always slow in these situations. We're rarely bold enough to try something new first ourselves and let other countries discover for themselves to see if they fail or not. I know that may be good to some people because they can learn from other countries mistakes but the process takes years. And they aren't even risky ideas, they're great ones, but no we have to wait 3-5 years before we'd see any sort of similar action here.
