Hello Sythe!

My name is WNCaptain and I've been here a while but just recently decided to become more active.

I've had an intense passion for online gaming since I was a young child. I've been playing RuneScape for almost eight years now and still actively play the game on my main account and, ironically, am a rank in a J-Mods friends chat (better get the pitch-forks!).

I'm a student pilot and am well on my way to earning my Private Pilots Certificate.

This is a picture of one of my more recent flights with a friend (not an instructor, so I wasn't pilot-in-command).

I am also attending school to become an Air Traffic Controller.


I've decided to invest some money and start a gold shop here on Sythe called 'RuneScape Gold Solutions'.

Its not so much flying itself. Its take off and landing that sends me over the edge. It sets my fear of height into over drive when I can see the ground. lol

 

Yeah I heard that once and I believe it.. aslong as you're paying attention in the sky you're like never going to hit someone lol

That's not necessarily true. If you're in a Class B airspace (airspace surrounding large airports) you very well might have a collision. Anywhere else, as long as you're flying VFR, it's highly unlikely that you'll hit someone en route.

Also, Contrary to popular belief, if the engine quits the plane becomes a glider, not a rock. I don't see why people are worried about the engine quitting when pilots are trained to be able to glide the aircraft extremely far. Unless, of course, you're over the ocean. In that case, you're pretty much fucked.

Yeah, that's understandable. I was flying last week(commercially, as a passenger) into Charlotte, NC in turbulent weather and we overshot the runway and had to go around for another try. It was extremely turbulent and as the engines spooled up and the gear started to come up, we hit this *big* dip. That is the first time that I've actually grabbed the armrest.

I thought for sure I had accidentally grabbed the leg of the colored obese woman next to me, lol. But yeah, those can be extremely scary for people. I enjoy them.

On that same day, we flew into Atlanta from Denver and I personally recorded it. (link). It was extremely turbulent and some of the people around me looked like they were about to defecate all over the chair.
