That decision to quit runescape...

its a sad sad day will miss them long 8 hour days i use to play

but this game isn't the same anymore and its not just because of the End Of Combat runescape in my opinion has been in downfall for a while.

going to look into more private servers i think

loved my 9 years on this game !

I finally broke up with runescape back in 09 and went to private servers. I had more fun doing that, always takes me back to the good old days of 05 & 06.

that was in my peak between 04-07 then i cut down to 2-3 up to 11 then i just logged on then logged off from then

Runescape was getting lame as the years went by anyway, with their shitty updates. Private servers is the way to go now! A few I personally like: Arrav, Soul Split, and Near Reality. ^_^

I doubt it. If anything it'll be the opposite. You'll have 8 hours a day free time to do something more productive with. Good choice.

All the game has left for me is memories, and although I never got to the point of playing 8 hours a day, I probably got to like 4-5 hours during weekends and when I look back on it, I dont regret it, but i'm happy that i've quit now - you should be too.
Now you have plenty of spare time to do something productive that will actually mean something in later life.

Anyways, OP you should come to Soulsplit! It's the best private server imo.

 

I have joined soulsplit and I am going right in at the deep end in doing a extreme account I believe it's called

 

I really miss the days when I played the game with my friends. I also quit last year, after selling my main and a pure that I made.

 

I have given in and I'm back on runescape sort of getting use to eoc now!

 

They always come back, as proven above. EoC isn't too bad if you are willing to get used to it

 

Was thinking about getting rid of my membership tbh.. but tbf the new quests are fun which come out !

 

I quit the same day as posting this sold all my gold cancelled members and I'm moving on to a new mmorpg maybe lord of the rings online
