Feedback: Support Mods

I made a thread their anonymously about 2 months ago and it never got approved. What a waste of my time that i typed all that out and still never got any advice on the issue. I'll go ask yahoo answers or somthing because if you want advice on this forum you ask on your own account and then get ridiculed in the spam forum for it 2 seconds later. Fix anonymous feedback please, sythe is a place where some people turn to.

PS: Don't go accept it now, everyone will know then.

 

When you post a thread to be approved, it goes in a queue in modcp. It's quite hard to miss to be honest. Even if it was missed in modcp, it still shows up in Personal Support as a hidden thread towards the Support Mods (in this case Shoop).

There's no need to kick a fuss about it though. You could have just PMed Shoop and asked him what's up with your thread.

That way Shoop would know outright the thread is his.

Which while, Shoop can check through IPs whose thread it is, he wouldn't do so without good reason, so it's no longer entirely anonymous.

True, but the idea of a anonymous thread is that no one is really supposed to know who posted it. Shoop may know, but that doesn't mean he would go and tell everyone or post on the thread who he is. He would keep the thread creator's identity private, like any good mod should.

 

I check Personal Support extremely often and I haven't seen any threads that need to be approved.

Also the modcp says "No Threads awaiting moderation".

I haven't had to approve a thread for a while now, as there haven't been any that need to be approved.
I have approved a lot in the past and I have also deleted a hell of a lot which have just been trolls.
I even could have missed it and a global disapproved it.

Given your reputation for trolling/spamming and the last thread I disapproved, I'm assuming you were the post that said "I torture small animals such as mice" (the rest said was extremely shocking) and I disapproved that.

If that wasn't you, there hasn't been any threads for a long time.

 

If you made a thread titled "I torture small animals such as mice", then yeah I think you'd be better off asking that on yahoo.com or another forum. Thats pretty messed up if you ask me lol.

It was an embarssing situation dealing with with a girl in a school production. I have no record for trolling unless you count spam forum, the only reason i can guess it wasnt accepted is because, in the field where it asks you for your username i put: "Isnt this supposed to be anonymous?"

No i am not the mice person thats disturbing.

No, the situation sort of solved itself 3 weeks later, but i was looking through sythe and remembered how the support centre staff scammed me of my time so i thought i'd leave feedback.

 

You have no right to complain if you didn't spent 10 seconds sending a PM that would have fixed an honest mistake.

 

I beg to differ, there should be a sticky at the top of the support section saying "Make sure you find out who the support mods are and send them a PM so your anonymous post becomes unanonymous and accepted, otherwise you just wasted 10 minutes typing out the thread"

Exactly the same with my large avatar submission, 3 weeks later and no one changed it and then im told im supposed to "PM the mods" to get it changed? Why dont we juts cut out posting threads all together and just run sythe on a Pm system because apparently thats the only way things can get done.

Only Matthew ever looks at the moderation queue and he yells at us some times when its in the hundreds. It was just missed.
