It's hard to believe this site is still up and running..

After a couple years, I remembered about this site and I decided to check it out.

 

What makes you think it wouldn't be around? It's still active too.

i can't believe i just found out about this site a few days ago, and people have known about it for years..

 

cant let these 2k posts go to waste..

 

The only reason sythe is still alive is because of the community and rs being alive. If rs died, I can still see sythe running for a few years purely for the community and other game sections, I believe we are trying to implement LoL as a major market to get that to keep us going to boost activity.

 

I actually thought this site was new cause I never heard about it until my friend talked about it lol

Seriously though, this site wouldnt exist without runescape. Sythe himself commented on it just recently saying without runescape people here would be without a job (himself included) some fucker with more time can troll SF looking for the post im referring to. Its a fact, regardless of what people may think this site WOULD NOT EXIST without runescape. Sure theres a good chunk of people (a tight knit community i might add) who frequent spam forum and bullshit elsewhere but that doesnt pay the bills, end of story. I do support it moving away from rs, and into other MMO's and other sections of gaming beyond the black markets. Sythe is like craigslist trying to hang with ebay in online selling, we will honestly be outclassed nonstop by people who just use sythe to advertise THEIR sites and just use sythe as a advert (which should be against the rules fuck you guys exmod or not keep it on site or go the fuck away) or people who link to bigger sites like MMOE or PA ect. Sythe.org needs to touch on other things to stick around for much longer, spam forum and the small tight knit community doesnt pay bills, solidarity doesnt meant shit when it isnt being the breadwinner regardless of what some people think. Most people who sell on this site just link you elsewhere and just use sythe as a advertising medium. I know my post sounds negative but sythe himself seems to be exploring alternatives to keep up interest in his site as well, he posted in SF asking for a reivew of a new FPS MMORPG "FIREFALL" ( i think it was) ive been meaning to get around to playing it. Either way, the way shit seems to be going it may not last too much longer as all MMO's are losing players in recent times especially runescape. Sythe himself however has been more active in the community than i have ever seen in my time and is asking for more community input than ever so we very much stand a chance given we move in a different direction, problem is (i/we as a whole) dont know which way to go to keep the site relevant and gaining traffic. I dont bot and anyone else thinking otherwise is deluded in their thinking and clearly has no idea what pays the bills

 

Yeah I never really had much doubt about sythe being around for a few years as we have quite a strong and firm community here so as long as we keep on talking and stay active on here the community will continue to grow and expand bringing in more and more people.

Yes I suppose it might take a big hit when RS dies but that is why like said above we have a lot of sub sections and other MMO markets.

Being a member since '05, I too can only wonder how this website has made it thus far. With lots of cheating websites rising and falling due to member retention and legal battles, it's amazing Sythe has avoided almost everything.

I'm not sure if its because I'm older and more mature now, but the community definitely doesn't seem the same. I see a larger shift from RuneScape cheating/account trading/account services to other MMO's and off-topic discussion. Either way, I wish Sythe the best moving forward. It's still a great place to visit a few times a month and see what's new and the same.

 

I was a lurker when sythe started.
I come and go from this website.
Although I really want to come back into it more as I have A LOT of free time.

 

I enjoy Sythe because of it's community and I don't see it going down, now that LoL is also implemented to the forum it will be going up.

Runescape will always have a fan base, whether they're long time players or not, it'll keep going for at least another decade, probably in different forms, but it wont 'die out' any time soon.

 

Sythe is dying. I predict it will last 1 more year.

 

Sythe is my all time favorite forum, I was glad to have rediscovered it. Very intelligent group of posters for the most part.

 

I thought sythe wouldn't make it went the trade limit/wildy/duel-arena/etc were gone

 

That was actually one of our most active times, since there was an extreme peak and demand for rwt methods and limit avoidance.
