So who got banned in the Dung botting sweep?

So looking around Powerbot today I saw multiple threads about people getting banned this weekend (2x exp/tokens) using iDungeon Pro. I was wondering if anyone here was hit, or knows people who were hit, and if they have any factual information on the matter. If there was anyone banned using a different dung bot, feel free to post as well.

banned using iDung?! gosh, that's why it has such an awesome rep.. flawless and incredibly low ban rate. Uh oh!

 

I dont see why anyone would be banned just from these 2 days of double xp/tokens, unless they literally ran it 24hours each day and even then that shouldnt be an issue of the program itself but making it obvious that your botting..

If players did indeed get banned using it, it is not the creator's fault. I would still use iDungeon if you plan on leveling dungeoneering over any other bot or script.

 

Well I know of one or two people who got banned. I know one guy on powerbot from an old acquaintance was raging and flaring about it and they quite over it. Just makes me laugh to myself .

 

What did people expect. It was a DOUBLE Tokens and Xp weekend, so jagex are obviously going to check who is soloing floors constantly, without talking in clan chats/private. You only have yourselves to blame.

 

I personally do not believe a single person was banned.
I've been botting several accounts using idung for 15-24 hours a day for months, and 24/7 for the duration of both double xp + double dung weekend with no warnings whatsoever. I fail to see why a select few would be banned.

It's most likely a hoax by low post users, as always.

 

Many high posters & even VIPs+ posted saying they were banned. A few even showed some screenshots.

Also, just because a select few get banned doesn't mean everyone is going to get banned. They'll pick off the ones they catch. There's a reason why when I was running 72-100+ hour proggies on over a dozen sorc garden accounts at the same time, only half of my fleet were banned. If Jagex doesn't see you doing it, chances are you'll make it off free. Unless it's an automated ban such as those with BotWatch. Know that BotWatch is not their ONLY means of detecting and banning bots. Just because you or other people got away free, doesn't mean that there's no possibility that others were banned.

 

Lol Dg bots. I don't bot Dg, so I didn't get banned... And obviously jagex is going to be watching dgers on a double xp weekend for Dg.

 

You say that as if you think the criteria for condemning somebody as a bot is them not talking for a bit..

 

yet at the same time you'd think that the massive amount of players doing dg this weekend would make it harder to get caught. anyways i wont pretend to have any knowlage of the situation, but it's entirely possible jagex developed a good system to catch bots in dg, then made a 2xXP weekend when it was ready to catch all the bots. just spit balling here, really.

 

I highly doubt they used any system. I remember like 2 years ago when I got banned in the manual soul wars sweep; they go invisible and observe the player actions. No matter how good the bot, chances are they can manually observe a pattern. They probably cbf to do this often.
