New Welcome Screen

Just wanted to thank those involved in the new welcome screen - it looks a lot better than I imagined. Looks sleek and it's not as annoying as a full page.

Nice job folks, glad this was implemented. I'm not sure about the random coloured writing though?
Also noticed that the links don't take you in to the actual section, just the section on the home page, I reckon it should actually take you inside of the section?

 

Looks good, but I feel we should stick to one colour.

 

Runescape on it should be 'RuneScape'. Same for the actual section on the forum.

I have a feeling Matthew made it. It looks pretty good although a faint background for it would be nice too.

 

Or at least one highlight colour as well as the normal white.

 

The different colors annoy me, and so does 'Runescape'.
With a capital S, it would look way more professional

I feel it looks slightly unprofessional, aswell as giving Sythe a bottleneck persona. Maybe incorporate more details, on other sections. Might just be the colours that are annoying me.

 

It was the colours for me that mad it look unprofessional. Also I think the white drop shadow looks a bit weird with the black background, but each to his own.

 

I'll be giving the logo and background a go so I may as well give this a go also. What dimensions is it and what parts would you want me to make? Just a giant image and hyperlink the sections that are currently there or just a background so you can code text over top?

 

To be honest I don't like the overlay, it looks like DP and is like a popup. It'd be better if you had a portal page or something with it on.
