Why you should stick with RS:

If you're a player - The combat is funner now, I've played since 2003, but every 6 months or so I find myself quiting to play another game, usually Rappelz or Shaiya Online. These games rely ONLY on their version of the runescape abilities, as in these games, those "abilities" are your skills and all you have. I see people on RS that dont mash their abilities and they hate the EoC. If you are one of these people. Go on a 2 hour slayer spree, and constantly mash your abilities. Make your goal in each fight filling up your adrenaline to use stronger abilities. It makes the game a bit more funner than clicking a mob and walking away from the computer.

If you do not play, and only deal in market stuff like selling accounts, rsgp, etc - The prices of items are down, the prices of RSGP are at the minimum I've seen in a LONG time. Jagex is trying to attract a new generation. Simple. The new generation will want high level accounts. So, account prices will rise. Some people will want to do it themselves, so item prices will begin to rise again, thus RSGP will also rise again. Give it a year and you'll be doing business just like you were before EoC, if not better.

And of course if youre a skiller, just hold onto your items your making until the prices go back up.



My plans -

Getting all the skills required for the new armor sets being released on tuesday. Should have all requirements within 1 week of the initial release.

After that, max cape.

 

Getting all my combat stats up. Just got all my non combat skills 99 on my noobier account. Training combat is way too fast nowadays..

 

I'm hoping that the EOC will bring an influx of new players... that's what it was meant to do and I hope it succeeds.

 

prefer the old players though just kids/trolls now or people playing to make a quick buck.
