Robbing a bank is easy enough but getting away with it is hard as fuck - you don't even have to bring in a gun - there have been several cases in smaller banks where people have just walked up to the counter and claimed they have a gun, and the cashier handed over a wad of money. Of course then they send the police after you and you get fucked up, so it's better to rob somewhere else.

 

Robbing a bank all together is fuckin stupid lol. Obviously not going to get away unless it's planned properly. Better off robbing jewellery or houses lol.

Actually robbing a bank and getting away with it isn't terribly difficult. Go to any really major bank and hand the teller a note saying "give me all the money you can, and don't press any alarms or call the police." They have to adhere to it at least until they know you're long gone for safety reasons.

No commotion.
No armed robbery.
Just theft.

 

Actually its still robbery and even putting your finger under your shirt can be charged as armed robbery, theft would be stealing without physical harm or threat present, with that note you would still be charged with robbery because you placed a threat into the situation.

 

I read somewhere about these two kids who robbed a convenience store and decided to take pictures of themselves holding their guns at the store with a polaroid camera. Being the 90's, they didn't realize that it took 5-10 minutes to develop, thought the camera was broken, threw it in the convenience store trash; and ran to do whatever stupid shit they were doing.

Thats exactly what happened, it was a note she didnt point her finger or anything. She was wearing the exact same clothes she was wearing when she robbed the bank that she was wearing when she made the video... and when she was arrested. The stupid bitch didnt even SPEND any of it .. robs bank and goes strait home to make a confession (no longer wearing her wig and sunglasses disguise) and hangs out at home all day. Funny thing is the video on YT didnt even get her caught, her exhusband (bitch was 19 how do you even have an ex husband at 19 -_-) saw the security tape and knew it was her and called the cops.

 

It really depends on how good your lawyer is, and if you do it right there is absolutely no way anyone could charge you with armed anything.

 

Same thing as I'm going to take your car, don't tell the police or a bully coming up to you and saying I'm going to take your lunch every day for the rest of the year, don't tell your mom or teachers. You are still pushing a threat and they are doing it out of fear. Do you really believe a teller wants to empty out their cash register just for the hell of it? or a kid wants to give his lunch/ money away for fun.

Obviously you wouldn't get huge jail time for just a note but I highly doubt you would be successful in robbing the bank if you placed no threat apart from the note, in most cases you would at least have to put your finger under your shirt.

 

Very different because tellers are required to cooperate. No real threat was made it's all "implied" and a lawyer could work on that.

Your biggest concern would be small time banks and customers in the bank.
