This case was sorted back when I was a moderator.

Star_Scream had a bad membership supplier, and about 8 people got put in negative credit due to the bad batch. Each person paid 12m each for the upgrades, so they each lost 12m.

He was unbanned after paying me enough to give each person who was affected 12m. There's this one guy, Guitarist#, and he had 2 accounts affected. I offered him 24m, but he won't accept it. He won't accept 40m, either. He thinks he deserves much more for the trouble and since his accounts were placed in negative credit. He said he had a chat with Dave and FireZ and they agree with him.

Please post your input. I'm not going to argue with the asshole when I'm trying to do him a favor.

 

He won't get more then the original 24m. His "troubles" are irrelevant. I'd like to know how much negative credit he was put into though.

 

He would have been put in negative credit for the amount the membership card was worth, so about 30 days. Not sure how much that would cost to get back to normal credit though.

I'm just annoyed because I thought a decision was already made and now this kid is threatening to get Star banned for not paying him enough.

 

He gets 24m.

Sorry this is really long but there is a lot to address here I had a power outage but im back online now I find it crazy that you would close a topic and issue a price without hearing\seeing both sides.

Some time ago [ begining of this year I believe] Star_scream was banned for having a bunch of upgrades bounce He said he would pay everyone during the summer but as far as im aware never did until just recently.

anyways I found out about this and asked for him to reimburse me for the negative credit he put on the 2 accounts which was 160 jcoins worth each [ 18$ per account] for a total of 36$ worth

He then offered me only 40 million for a reimbursement which I find completely unfair as rsgp is only about .40\m currently which isn't even half of the damage he caused.

I then asked global mod Dave and he said he talked to you and you said they had to pay the negative balance worth. I don't care if he takes the negative credit off the accounts or pays me in rsgp I just want it to be the correct amount this whole fiasco has been going on for a year and im tired of it.

I don't know what the hell dialetic is going on about for the 24m I paid 26 for one, and 2 he shouldn't be able to use the excuse " oh my upgrade provider scammed me so I only have to pay you what you paid me" thats his problem he should report his provider then. IF someone who bought an account from someone resells it and the first person steals it back the second person is still responsible the same should be for this case.



this next 1 because it was inactive someone else snagged his name and i was forced to change his ingame name but sephiroth285 is still it's login name I can allow any mod or admin to check the account to validate this.



and I think it's clear they have already admitted to owing me now its just down to how much.

1. Staff team made a decision a long time ago when Star_Scream was unbanned.
2. FireZ confirmed the decision (a few hours ago).
3. Why were you unbanned for scamming?
4. Can a moderator also do an IP search on him? He originally PMed me from another account claiming to be a friend (when this account still had the banned tag).
5. Out of curiosity, why did you run an upgrade service for 8m per upgrade, and buy 2 upgrades from Star not even a week later for 12 or 13m?

He's annoying me by PM now. Can someone make a decision?

 

Anyone affected should be refunded for the entire cost of membership, plus the entire cost of bringing the account out of negative. It's the sellers fault the buyers are in the current predicament, and the seller should be held fully responsible.

Note, this isn't "Final" but it's how it should be done. Will speak with FireZ as soon as I can catch him on.

 

Thing is, when I personally worked with someone who upgrade scammed, I paid back the membership amount + HALF the negative credit amount.

160 jcoins is just under a $20 UGC, correct? I personally have purchased those for 35M in the past. Cut that in half let's say it's 18M. 18M per account + 12m, that's a 30M repayment per membership that was applied.

I personally believe that's the fair solution

Did he or anyone ever make a thread int he Staff Lounge regarding these repayments?

 

I don't exactly remember where the staff discussion was. It may have been on Star's dispute thread, or in staff lounge. I don't remember anything other than the verdict (because I collected the gold to pay people back).

Anyways, I have 2 different verdicts here. Star_Scream has been more than co-operative and has paid me more to be able to pay Guitarist back. Just waiting on you guys to make a decision on how much it should be, then I'll pay it.

 

The final decision has been decided. Dialatic/Star you are meant to give Guitarist 30m repayment per account. That's 12m for the initial upgrade, plus half of the 35M required to purchase a $20 UGC to come out of negative credit. If one of you could please PM me screenshot proof when the repayment is complete that would be excellent. I will also drop both of you a PM incase you don't come around to seeing this.

Total repayment meant to be given to Guitar is 60M (30m per account x2)

That decision has been decided by myself, FireZ, and n4n0.

Actually, I'll leave this open. Mike, post your proof of repayment when it is done, please get it done ASAP. I'll still be PMing you both.

Just so you know though, Dave, I never had a problem with re-paying him, and neither did Star. We just wanted to make sure it was the right amount.

 

Yeah I know, just wanted to set this as an example for any further cases that arise which are similar to this one.

The moron had me blocked on MSN all day yesterday, and was raging at me through PM to get on MSN when I was. Now he's raging at me for "putting it off" because I got off Sythe and MSN but my session hadn't expired so he saw me on.
