Sythe.org Referral Links -- How To

Honestly? Why is everyone cheating? So no one has won yet. This competition is depressing. I have 20 legit referrals from my facebook friends. Sythe hasn't addressed my issue though where people told me they've signed up and my number doesn't update appropriately, its supposed to be instant right?

 

I pmed Sythe yesterday regarding the initial ones I paid before he stated do not pay to refer. Sythe PMd me this morning requesting I posted my final referral links on this thread, so that's what I have done.

I haven't hidden anything at all, I have been transparent.

 

If anyone feels that this is unfair then I will give back my rank, but I have been as upfront and honest as I could have been.

I wouldn't have been having these conversations with other members if I was trying to hide something.

I made the mistake of referring 5 by payment, i was honest about this. I had already done 5 pay to refers BEFORE Sythe posed that this was not allowed later in the thread. (it was not stated in OP).

NSU offered to share my referral link to help me out, this was for free, to help me out. Evidence in PM below:



I made a mistake of accepting his help, not knowing that he was paying for referrals. I have not paid NSU, or anyone, other than my first 5, for referral. I would also like to add that not all of my remaining referrals will have come from him alone, I was still actively referring the entire time. I have no idea how many I received from his posted link.

Arguably, other than my first 5, I have not paid for any referral, I also find it hard to believe that NSU would pay others to click my referral link when I only spoke to him for the first time yesterday, and he was receiving no benefit from doing this.

The only reason that my rank should be retracted is if you [the community] believe that it was unfair for someone to help me share my referral link, as Sythe has posted above.

Sythe is also now aware of the NSU referral link issue (to add to his above post), but wishes for the community to decide whether to strip my rank or not.

 

Is this still active?

What I want to know is how people are getting 30+ legitimately, without having some form of reward/payment in such a short amount of time..

 

Easy answer, facebook whores. People get 2,000 random people on facebook they don't know and just barrage them with links, or atleast a lot of people in the SEO game does.

 

Wrong, I have 144 FB friends and 27 references. You can only get good friends to sign up. Random FB contacts wouldn't just sign up. Also since I sell rsgp on more than 1 site, then I have a slight edge

Thanks for posting this TBT - however the amount he quoted is incorrect, as I already had around 15 referrals before I gave him my link (see my PM image).

36 currently - 15 = 21 (give or take, and I was still referring myself the entire time, so it won't be the full 21, as I say i am unsure how many went via his link)

For a competition like this to be successful a few things must be done.

1. It must be endorsed heavily by you and the staff to make it seem more official.

2. The prize must be more enticing, i.e. choice of fun rank or something

3. There must be a post requirement for each account that is referred.

I really have no interest in speaking to him. He should have been upfront with me about how he was getting his referrals to begin with.

Yes as I say in my PM image, I had 10 when first speaking to him but I was gaining referrals prior to him distributing my link, which is why I stated around 15.

He has stated I have done nothing wrong, unlike himself. I really have no interest in anymore of his input.

 

Really, you've hardly even done much. You've got other people to do it for you. There should be an activity minimum like x339 said before they get the rank, as no way is that deserving. I've gained both of mine before the competition, and I'm not going to get my friends to make them just so I win, when it's not benefiting our community with decent active members.

I agree, and I would welcome this into the rules.
