Steads, Glaviens, and Ragefires

With the EOC coming, everyone is talking about prices changing dramatically. Does anyone have a guess if these boots will go up or down? I'm not interested in combat, so I'd have no clue. I wear them for looks. Your input would be greatly appreciated.

 

They are supposed to be the best boots because nex boots are 80 defence and glacor boots are 85 defence meaning the glacor boots will have better stats. There should be an increase in price of the glacor boots.

Potentially an increase but trying to guess the price change is futile. It could decrease because all the old veterans that are high leveled leave and the new people that come to replace them are level 3 so there would be less demand. You just don't know.

 

To add, new armor will be released in the near future which ultimately will replace these boots as their already pricey compared to other alternatives such as Bandos boots, dragon boots, etc. Recently I bought a pair of each strictly for Slayer, can't tell the difference honestly between them and dragon boots sadly.

 

Nobody is talking about the supply of these boots. With Fire Surge being castable for FREE with a Steam Staff, the cost of killing Glacors will sink from ~750 gp/cast down to 0 gp/cast, and the supply will raise up. Even with using a Chaotic Staff/Virtus Wand, Fire Surge still only takes 5 fires/5 airs to cast, which is disgustingly cheap. Most people currently end up spending about 10k-25k GP to kill one glacor, and it takes hundreds to get boots... now it will just be determined by the cost of potions. Plus, from what I've heard, Glacors are extremely easy mini-boss because the Glacites helps raise adrenaline for huge special attacks, whereas other mini-bosses like TD don't afford this luxury.

There's no way in hell these boots will raise. They might for the frist 2-3 weeks (which I still highly doubt), but after that they will drop down to at the most 70% of their value.

 

This^. Also with the release of new armour the difference will not be that great, no point using 40m or whatever for a few stab attack etc, just like when gano came out the price of virtus went down, even more so when zamorak robes were released.

 

I personally think that the fact that they have higher DEFENSIVE stats means nothing.. On that logic torags should be more valuable than bandos.

 

I'm fairly sure they will go up and down for a while, after that it's anyones guess where they will settle.
