Notable Banned Users Thread

Last I spoke to him, he had no intentions of paying the $100 owed. So unless he decides to pay the amount owed, his ban will remain.

 

Now that I see this thread and how Pen is banned, I think I might of been scammed by him in 2010. I bought this account for around $700 or so USD and Pen was the MM for the trade. He did a "recovery test" and said everything was fine. I played on my new account for about 5 days before it got recovered back. So I tried the recoveries that were supposedly "fine" and got rejected. Must of tried about 30 times before I gave up. Sad thing is I was planning on using it as my main and even got a white phat on it for $300+gp at the time.

 

Perhaps but if the original owner wanted to recover it he would succeed regardless of what information you had as he had the original IP. I'm sorry to hear of your loss however.

 

I don't think he has scamming back then.
He probably only scammed now, and the person you bought it from used his ip advantage to recover it.

 

I just don't understand how Pen could recover the account during the recovery test while I couldn't using the same information. Or was it because after the original owner used his ip to recover all other ip's were blocked from recovering? Who knows, you live and you learn.

It's unlikely that Pen actually recovered the account from you. Was he negligent in the MM? Probably, in hindsight, but accounts are such a crap shoot no matter how you cut it. He certainly shouldn't keep a commission on a $700 trade that was scammed within 1 week.

 

You should remove the unbanned users. Most people would be negligent to read the reasons of the ban/unbanning, and would assume they are not reliable to trade with.

 

Why was Kevin banned n unbanned?

 

I believe he got hacked and repaid all the users to get unbanned.
